  1. @Bubbler86 - 35th consecutive hour here the temperature has stayed between 47 and 52 degrees. Likely to rise above 52 in the next hour or 2, but I remember you talking last week about temps not really fluctuating much over a 2 day period. Currently 49.3 here.
  2. Yep, it's only run twice since I've been home.
  3. Just got home from the office - 50 when I left home at 6am, all the way up to 52 now. Perfect short-sleeve weather today.
  4. Probably doesn't help that admittedly, I am a very literal person. I drive people crazy because of how particular I can be - if I ask for "a couple" of one thing or another, I expect to receive 2. That is a couple to me. Not 3 or 4...2. 3 is a few. 4 is several.
  5. A severe thunderstorm contains winds greater than 58 mph and/or hail greater than 1" in diameter. That is the book definition. That is what CTP would be measured by for forecast accuracy. There is no lightning criteria. I know what you are trying to say - we can agree to disagree on this.
  6. Seems like for some time now that my rain totals have been higher than most - certainly not yesterday. Finished with .94" here. Not complaining!
  7. What happened or didn't happen previously doesn't change the fact that last night's storms were not severe. There is specific criteria for a storm to reach severe level, just like there is with winter storms. Sorry - if CTP would have issued a warning, it would have been a failed forecast.
  8. Non-weather observation: the O's have returned to the form that I know all too well...
  9. 73 and full sun. CTP was discussing last night that the weather that most of us are experiencing was what they expected - the idea that it would rain for much of the day was off the table yesterday.
  10. Interesting - hasn't rained here for several hours, everything is dried off, and there are peeks of sun...
  11. I was hoping for a significant storm regardless of precip type later on next week - for now, CTP removed all mention of precip and is dry all week. Also looks like much less rain during the day tomorrow after what hopefully will be a pretty good soaking overnight tonight.
  12. 68 and party sunny here. Just back from a walk and dare I say for the first time this year it feels a little muggy out there.
  13. My point and click is mid 60s Monday-Wednesday and upper 50s by Thursday. I guess closer to typical spring weather for mid-ish April.
  14. Yep - managed to get back up to 56 here now. Raw day out there.
  15. That's a good point - and everything seems to be way ahead of normal with the growing season. It's amazing how much has bloomed/greened/grown over the past 2 weeks.
  16. I swear we've had more "true spring" days this year than the past 10 years combined. I just finished a run of many years watching high school softball and baseball played in 40 degree temps with a 20 mph wind. We've had our share of wind this spring, but at least it's been mild. And mainly sunny.
  17. Certainly not depressing me - and I'm one that has definitely complained about high heat and humidity...ugh. But, there are some that love it, and good for them. Your point is a valid one for sure.
  18. 69 at 2:00PM with a nice breeze - the spring with spring-like conditions rolls on!
  19. I have a weakened immune system (pneumonia twice) and came out of Pfizer #1 with just a little tenderness in the arm. Good luck!
  20. If the timing is correct on some of the models, most of what we get might fall overnight Saturday and wind down Sunday morning. We'll see.
  21. Ended up making a late-day rally and got to 74 for my high, currently a gorgeous 73.2. Headed back outside again soon. Saw some mid 80s creep up as far north as northern VA - that kind of warmth can stay away, please.
  22. I'm almost...kinda...sorta...ready to agree with you. To clarify - above all else, I love snow. I also love bitter cold. But...most days over the past few weeks have been nice. REALLY nice. Like, it has felt so good to get outside, sans jacket, sweatshirt, etc., and enjoy some truly spring-like weather. As I said the other day, we really haven't had much weather like this in recent memory, and man oh day Steve...it sure has been nice.
