  1. You have no idea. Girls were getting frustrated because my attention was divided listening to my transistor NOAA weather radio. Come to think of it...I hope there weren't any that needed help in the pool...
  2. 50 degree low on July 2nd is equally impressive. Surprised I don't remember that. It was the summer prior to my senior year in high school and the girls were relentless around me at the pool that summer.
  3. Have to believe it was a rare, stratiform rain kind of day?
  4. Yeah...mid 70s in these parts in July is pretty good. Yesterday was special. Not sure the last time I was in the 60s in mid-late July. I like the way Bubbler things though.
  5. While I prefer it to be as cool as possible... I don't really care if it's 90 degrees. It SHOULD be hot this time of year. What has made our recent weather miserable has not been the temperature...it's been the dewpoint. 92/62 is tolerable. 92/77 is not.
  6. Thanks for the update, I was wondering how you made out on Saturday, especially from the early afternoon storm. I would have thought you got more than what you did...or maybe you did get a decent amount from that and hardly any from round #2. I got .23" from the 1pm storm, .66" from the evening round, and then .03" after midnight for an "event" total of .92"
  7. Morning all... Yesterday's high here in the Historic district was 75, morning low was 64. Currently 73 with smoky sunshine.
  8. Yes...by the time we turn the calendar it will look like August, I'm afraid.
  9. 74 here now. Picked up .03" at some since midnight, I have no idea when though. My stroll will NOT include a long sleeve shirt.
  10. Yes they did...it's amazing how often when you make a comment it comes back to bite you in the arse.
  11. Next little cell about to cross the river looks pretty robust.
  12. I got .28" this evening. .53" for the day. (So far)
  13. I don't recall seeing such a large Flash Flood Warning since...since...Lee.
  14. Radar looks loaded to me - CTP issuing Flood Advisories like firemen throw candy in a parade. Going to be a lot of busy rain gauges over the next several hours.
  15. Itstrainingtime is ongoing about 5 miles to my NW. Constant thunder here but no rain for the past few hours.
  16. Well said! I am a baseball fanatic first who happens to be a fan of the Orioles for the past 47 years. Thank you. The commitment comes easy because we love to do it...no matter what the weather.
  17. Crazy? Um...yes. Walking every day is important to us...we should have gone earlier, but a lot of people are out on Saturday mornings and I was looking for less crowds and more solitude. Normally, we'll walk around 6-7pm this time of year but I was figuring that would be go time for storms. That's my rationale. LOL
  18. I cannot believe how humid it is outside. We were walking on the river trail when the storm formed. We left the lot under mostly sunny skies with a few puffy cumulus clouds. We were 17 minutes into the walk when the first rain drops started falling. Things are developing that quickly. And in this atmosphere, once the match is lit, they're exploding quickly.
