  1. A little light rain falling here now and 52.2 degrees. I think my sleet idea in the LSV is toast.
  2. I can tell you that the mother of my children is with me and less than thrilled with the weather today.
  3. Yep, once things start heating up and you get a 10-14 day dry spell, things start changing in a hurry.
  4. Unfortunately, it did not - we received an additional 11 drops. .64" for the week it is.
  5. Yes. It's gotten very dark here - let's see what happens. My 7 day rain total is at .64". Compared to what you experienced last year it's a rain forest, but I know I'm way behind most on here.
  6. A week of very little action continues here - a light shower produced a whopping .03" earlier this afternoon. Otherwise, partly sunny and cool. Daughter reported heavy rain/hail in Lancaster city around 3:00pm. She said that water was running everywhere. My point and click for tomorrow/tomorrow night is down to a tenth to a quarter of an inch.
  7. Wow...that's pretty close to frozen precip kinda weather there. Cloudy and 42 here.
  8. Just hit a quarter inch of rain here and a chilly 47 degrees.
  9. In fairness - I think maybe Canderson posted this earlier in the week, but our long-term average temperatures are increasing. And while I'm sure it's frustrating when it's cold and miserable in May, we also have many mild days in November and December. Aggregately, there is more warm than cold or otherwise our long term averages wouldn't be increasing. As a cold weather nut - I'm with you on this. I was really enjoying the 60s and 70s and wish honestly we'd stay right there for another 5 months.
  10. I dunno - if precip comes in early enough on Sunday, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a little sleet mixed in all the way down to the LSV. Don't know that I would expect it, but I could see it happening...
  11. No - as a long time pass holder, the benefit of low crowds is erased when it's wet AND cold. Unless you're coming for a few hours early in the day, I wouldn't chance it. Just my opinion. I like to go when I think most won't, but I've been there on enough miserable days to know when to say when.
  12. WPC 5 day QPF - more north and west of the LSV. Honestly, these totals aren't as high as I what I expected them to look like:
  13. Today was a stellar day - just returned from an amazing walk along the river. Now, to get some more rain...
  14. Really? I thought everyone saw some snow a couple of weeks ago. I had snow multiple times throughout the day...assumed that you had as well.
  15. First solo no hitter since Palmer's in 1969. 52 years!
  16. If I'm not mistaken, that was a 4-way combined no-no against the A's?
  17. Complete whiff on that broken line. On to Friday!
  18. Not for you and him - not included in this area.
  19. Wife wanted to turn the AC off this past weekend - I was like aw honey, there's a Comfort Inn 5 miles down the road...
  20. I'm literally on the western periphery of the focus area.
  21. Broken line of showers has developed from just north of Harrisburg extending southwest to near your area. Hoping it solidifies as it moves east...
  22. I was thinking about that this morning. Things got a nice watering here which I'm grateful for.
  23. Sun is making a return here: Monday, 5/3: .08" Tuesday, 5/4: .01" (fell right after midnight) Wednesday, 5/5: .35" 3 day total: .44" Someone's always going to win, someone's always going to lose. I imagine most in this thread had more rain than I did. Probably for most, significantly so. I was hoping for at least 1" from the 3 days - barring a miracle, I won't get close to that. Onward!
  24. Certainly appears that my cloudy skies should yield to some significant rain shortly though. Time to play catch up.
