  1. MU is sounding the alarm for tomorrow. MU Weather Center @MUweather A subtle disturbance sagging southeastward through PA & the Delmarva Region may spark a few showers & T-storms this afternoon into tonight, but many areas won't receive any rain. Brief downpours & wind gusts up to 40 mph may occur, but tomorrow & Sat are the bigger "storm days."
  2. 2003 changed everything. I've regularly attended games in Baltimore since 1976. I had a season ticket plan from 1984 through 1998. Prior to 2003 there were far, far more Yankees fans who showed up at O's game than Red Sox fans. It wasn't close. As soon as Boston won the WS, the following year Camden Yards was taken over by Red Sox fans. And you could just tell that so many of them weren't even real baseball fans, they hopped on the wagon. It was a completely different kind of fan. Yankees fans still came and they didn't change. I haven't attended a Red Sox game in Baltimore since 2016. I probably would act very un-me like if I did.
  3. This is probably not fair and is admittedly a small sample size plus very subjective. My personal experience, Red Sox fans IN GENERAL are more obnoxious than Yankees fans in Baltimore. Both are loud and annoying, but there's a...sarcastically cocky edge that Boston fans seem to have that NY fans don't. Maybe the best way to put it is like this - Yankees do well in Baltimore and their fans go nuts. Red Sox do well in Baltimore and their fans go nuts in the faces of Orioles fans. It's just different. Yankees fans celebrate their team, Red Sox fans seem to delight in being jerks to O's fans. It's subtle...but it's there.
  4. Yes, and I was thinking of him when I made my post. He is a very good poster and certainly does not give off that vibe that some others do. Like I said, every fan base has good and bad. Some are worse than others. I'm sure CBP was interesting earlier this week with a hot mix of Phillies and Yankees fans. Hard to imagine that there weren't a few scuffles...
  5. To some extent a lot of fan bases are that way but it seems particularly bad with Yankees fans. Maybe it's the feeling of entitlement with all of the previous success they've had.
  6. Yankees thread on this forum is often unreadable. People were saying stuff like "this team won't even contend for a wild card" 2 weeks ago and now they're acting like they have the best team ever assembled. Dude last night was bragging all about how they are going to run away and hide from the Orioles. Maybe they will, but it was an interesting take after the same guy proclaimed that they were done 10 days ago. LOL
  7. 91 in Maytown despite a fair amount of cloudiness...impressive. Especially after the damp start.
  8. paweather's reverse phycology is working...Phils right back in it...
  9. That would obviously be great for Pittsburgh, but can you imagine Skenes taking the bump in the postseason? Man...that would put MLB in an almost "must watch" position for the first time in years. And yeah...I have Keller on my fantasy team. What an absolute unknown stud #2 starter.
  10. Agree with everything you said - and the Mets might be the biggest threat in the NL. If Diaz returns to form...look out.
  11. There we go...spoken like a true Philadelphia sports fan! I was at the game this past Friday night, Harper was getting booed like crazy.
  12. 88 at 1:15pm in Maytown. Looks like we might snare a 90 from the jaws of 80s after all.
  13. CTP has 3 days of 90s here but that includes today, which is highly questionable. Only tomorrow and Friday seem "safe" to reach 90. Saturday will be highly dependent on the sun/cloud/rain ratio. Right now my forecast high is upper 80s.
  14. Hagerstown's total is incredible considering that they had a flood in the last week or two.
  15. I can't believe how often you've gotten drenched this year. I was very fortunate a few weeks ago - I was probably a couple of tenths of a mile away from having a monthly total close to a half inch. You seem to be getting hit repeatedly. That's a great find!
  16. What an unbelievable gut punch - look at that little hole in NW Lanco. Wife and I are sitting outside enjoying the evening.
  17. Not a drop here. Phillies bullpen...maybe I was right on Opening Day after all?
