Thursday night and Friday are looking wetter than what we just went through.

Enjoy your day - I love Caledonia, to me it's a hidden gem. We often go to Pinchot because it's closer but I love the vibe in the Michaux state forest. Also, thanks for your well wishes for our trip. It's out of my control, we'll make the best of what comes our way. Interestingly, as epically wet as it was last year, we've been doing the beach gig all my life and over the years we've been blessed with phenomenal weather. Many years featured no rain, or perhaps a day where it stormed. Last year was the only true clunker that I remember, so there's that perspective, too. Sure, I want it sunny and 85 every day but that isn't likely going to happen and we'll enjoy that beautiful, fragile piece of land no matter what the weather.

Just picked up my first hundredth of an inch since 6pm yesterday. Rain has now stopped.

Rain has commenced and added a few hundreds of an inch already. Just as notable, temp has fallen from 50 to 48.

Thinking tomorrow may be as cool as today if not a touch cooler, especially east of I-81 - reason being, it sure looks to me like tomorrow is going to be wetter than today. Wouldn't be at all surprised if tomorrow ends up quite rainy in eastern areas. Rain is blossoming coming up out of MD/VA now.

I'm confused - CTP has been saying all day that there would be little to no measurable precip today followed by increasing chances tonight and tomorrow, no?

Ha! Well, after posting my last obs my temp has dropped to 50.

Yes we did. I live almost halfway between Columbia and Elizabethtown and my rain total is almost exactly halfway between those 2 locations. My current event total is 1.27"

Currently at the predicted high of 52 here - we might make it to the mid 50s this afternoon, all dependent on any brightening/breaks. Sun angle is rough on Memorial Day weekend.

Have to move the Little League practice indoors today.

Granted it doesn't take a whole lot of rain to cause issues, do you know how much they've gotten?

At the very least, a gesture like that might incentivize some folks to return in the future. That's good customer service.

As recently as 2pm, CTP had rain moving out of here by 8am tomorrow. Now, it's to rain until 2pm Sunday...

Down to 54 here now and steadily falling. Pressure down to 29.81 with .44" of rain so far.

Down to 57...rainfall up to .21" now. AC is temporarily off between cycles.

Overcast and 58. First shower that rolled through dropped .03". Man is it ever raw out...
