    The team I admire most in MLB? The Rays. Again this year they were largely discounted as they are every year...and look where they are... Now real quick, someone fire off the starting 9. Yeah...I didn't think so.

    Half the talk about Cal was negative..."he's selfish, he cares more about himself than the team" kind of nonsense. The guy got paid very well to play a game that he loved. He showed up to play every day, just like we do for work. If it's more than acceptable for us to be at work every day, why was Cal selfish for doing the same thing?

    3 playoff appearances in there as well. It's funny, a lot of people assume that the O's have been horrible forever...they're only 5 seasons removed from the postseason.

    My wife actually drinks more than I do - thing is, we LOVE this house. It's only 4 years old, gorgeous pool, hot tub, and right off the ocean. Tons of space inside. With my high powered fan blowing I can make 74 tolerable for a week given everything else that we love.

    THAT is really cool. Father and daughter going to a game together, and initiated by your daughter. That is awesome stuff right there, and I hope you have an amazing day together.

    Generally expecting highs in the mid 80s on the coastline next week. It will be humid as crap though. You know, I am a rule follower through and through but I'm always challenged to follow my morals on vacation. There's a notice in our house stating not to set the AC below 74 degrees...are you kidding me?

    This is wrong on so many levels I can't begin to go into detail, but anyone waiting until June to turn on the AC will be judged by me. A lot. I made one small edit.

    Gregg Jefferies. I had half of an album of Gregg Jefferies rookie cards. The biggest can't miss player of my lifetime up until that point. (mid 1980s) Had a solid career with a couple of all star game appearances but he never lived up to the hype. (which wasn't possible given the amount of hype)

    I was an Orioles season ticket holder during that era...I'd race home after every game to see how far Sammie or Mac hit one that night. At the very least, baseball was relevant and had captured people's attention. (albeit for the wrong reasons)

    Curt's head wasn't screwed on straight, Freddie was at the end of his career, and Brady hadn't discovered performance enhancing drugs yet.

    I don't like rain delayed, bring it early. Same applies in the winter. Delayed way too often = denied.

    We're 2/3rds of the way to matching our infamous 1988 streak. Of course, that one started the season and many wondered if the O's would ever win.

    I'm sort of surprised by how brown my yard still is. Definitely better than a week ago but still dry.
