  1. I received 9.71" on 9/7/2011. If it rained here for 24 hours today, I think we'd definitely rival that.
  2. Maybe! Every time it lets up, it comes right back to moderate-heavy intensity.
  3. Thinking 7" here is quite possible at this point - 6.16" now.
  4. I'm watching that band - if it moves over me, not sure what to think. I'm at 5.51" now and that band alone could add an inch or two more. I'll be over 6" regardless before it gets here.
  5. Yes indeed it was. This can stop at any time now...really...water is ponding everywhere. Already up to 5.10" and adding up quickly.
  6. It took 45 minutes to go from 4" to 5". I think I'm heading for 6" at this point.
  7. From 25 minutes ago: NWS State College ✔@NWSStateCollege Hourly rainfall amounts of 2 to 3+ inches are expected to impact southeast and east-central. Additional storm total amounts going through the mid-evening hours should be as much as 4 to 6 inches with isolated heavier amounts. Widespread flash flooding is expected.
  8. I'm really not that far from you at all - right now I'm at 4.49"
  9. River forecast office has already lowered the expected crest of the Susquehanna by about 1' in Marietta and a solid 2' in Harrisburg - are there areas that are significantly underachieving?
  10. I imagine today probably reminds of nor'easters out on the Island. Well, minus the wind.
  11. Good grief is it pouring here now. Winds are picking up as well.
  12. Yes...I don't like what I'm seeing for our area. Next hour or two looks worrisome.
  13. Maybe once we get through this event we start a new thread? I think we should keep the current disco going here until we're through this...
  14. I have the exact same pressure at 29.59" - temp is slowly falling here, now at 67.3 degrees, rainfall here over the past 90-120 minutes has been more light to moderate and the gauge is at 3.49". Having said that, it looks like I'll be back in heavier returns imminently. Edit: Pressure is down to 29.57"...
  15. 3 separate TOR warnings in Baltimore county now as those cells lift into the southern border counties.
  16. I was looking at my station a few minutes ago and realized my temp has been slowly dropping - currently reading 67.6. Today's high goes back to after midnight here at 73. Just hit 3" of rain on the nose.
  17. You were definitely feeling it on a personal level, though I get what you're saying. Southern Adams looks like it's getting a beatdown right now...
  18. My daughter works in Hershey and just came through that interchange - that picture is NOT current. Shame on someone that might have posted it to make it appear as current.
  19. Lancaster, York, and Adams counties....Tornado Watch now up to go with our flooding.
