  1. I thought about putting my tickets up for sale as this is one of a handful of games that I'd be able to exceed face value with ease. I decided I wanted to go badly enough to keep them.
  2. Mist here at work. Coworker living a mile from our facility has a station that is recording 61.6 right now. At home it's simply cloudy and 66. Remarkable that we're running such a positive departure with our highs averaging BN. Can't recall an anomaly that has been consistent for so long.
  3. Can't wait for opening night next Friday against Brooklyn. Going to be very interesting. (fans reaction)
  4. So far, this is by far the dreariest day in this stretch of weather. Low cloud deck with heavy mist/drizzle continuing.
  5. Just saw that Lancaster is currently running 8.4 degrees AN for the month. We'll likely go even higher above normal over the next several days before temps pull back some later in the weekend into next week. BTW, the anomaly is attributed to our lows running a staggering 15-20 degrees AN for the month to date. (source: MU Weather Center)
  6. My daughters couldn't wait to get out on their own. All they did was b*tch and moan about how cold it was.
  7. I mean...as a kid, me and dad were out shoveling in tee shirts. Truth.
  8. We've had some warm Christmas eve/days over the years. Generally speaking, no. But it has run on a few occasions.
  9. My AC is running throughout the house and won't be turned off until Christmas. Maybe.
  10. I'm not as gung ho as I was a few days ago, but the end of the work week is going to be well above normal regardless. Everything I'm reading seems to indicate that any cooldowns are going to be very short lived over the next several weeks. I guess we'll see soon enough.
  11. I recall lots of stagnant patterns over the years but having a hard time remembering where this many days in a row were virtually identical. Give me an 85 or something. LOL
  12. 7 of the past 9 days here have featured a high of 69, 70, or 71. That's just flat out bizarre.
  13. Vegas has set the line at 2.5 - I might take the under on that.
  14. All correct. I thought I'd throw that in there since my wife and I were watching the highlights and she mentioned what a crazy thing that was for that to happen, and my mind immediately went to a random post-game locker room comment from the NHL.
  15. Classic hockey reasoning for a tough loss "the puck just didn't bounce our way tonight" - certainly, the ball didn't bounce Tampa Bay's way last night.
  16. I was saying this a couple of days ago and the beat goes on. How many virtually identical days can we possibly have in a row? At least we have summertime weather to look forward to later this week. Not.
  17. Penn State is missing one big element even when healthy, and that is the ability to run the football. Not being able to control the line of scrimmage against Villanova was telling. Other than that they are a very, very good team. They would have beaten Iowa in their house had Clifford not gotten hurt. Both teams have good defenses. Both teams MIGHT be top 10 teams but neither is playoff caliber in my opinion.
  18. Iowa isn't the #2 team in the country but right now I guess you have to out them there. Impressed with the way they take the ball away on defense but for most of the game their quarterback looked lost. Don't see them winning the Big Ten title against anyone coming out of PSU's division.
