  1. CTP has slashed my rain chances for tomorrow from 70% down to 30%. We just might salvage a dry weekend.
  2. Yes. For many years my weather investment was $11 - consisted of a garden rain gauge and a window thermometer. Over time, I upgraded each of those until I decided to splurge on my own station. So worth it! At the same time, as nice as it is...it's still a luxury that I feel fortunate to own but let's face it...even for a weenie like myself, it's still far from a necessity in life.
  3. Correct. Finished with .74" from this event...Mount Joy probably doubled me today as the very worst sort of split Maytown at the last minute. Still, that's a good amount of rain from a single storm. 2 day total is 3.19".
  4. Incoming. Got a warning and the line is bowing directly at me. Nearly continuous thunder now...winds are starting to howl.
  5. Congrats! Hope you and @Cashtown_Coopdo well. Nothing imminent here...and that's okay.
  6. That would be great! To be clear, my agenda is to ride the Lehigh Gorge Railroad. (this week they're running steam)
  7. Ironically, my wife and I were planning a day trip to Jim Thorpe yesterday, but I pulled the plug when I woke up and saw they were under a Flood Advisory at 8am. I knew that NE PA was getting hit hard...I just never expected that we would as well.
  8. That's a Maytown bullseye. I was wondering what surrounding areas received- clearly I was squarely in the hot zone. 2.45" for the day.
  9. It just started pouring here again. Friend...itstrainingtime.
  10. Wow...just wow. Sorry. During the middle of the deluge I went to run an errand in Mount Joy, and it was VERY obvious that they had nothing like we did. I know you don't live in town, but I thought of you regardless and wondered how you were making out. I sort of assumed you didn't get what I did, but I sure as heck thought you had more than that. Geez...
  11. It certainly was - I think, unless things change again, that the worst is past and it should be mainly lighter rains over the next hour or so. We'll see soon enough.
  12. I get it...it's not fun being on the outside looking in. Really was hoping that everyone here would win today. Hopefully that still pans out.
  13. I'm pulling for you...I have more than enough at this point. Sort of expected this to happen. I'm sure that there are some in my 'hood that are dealing with water in basement issues now.
  14. Still raining - 2.23" in the till. Water running everywhere.
  15. 1.62" with light rain still falling. Come on Bubbler...
  16. Lightning is scary here. Power is flashing on and off repeatedly.
  17. Loud thunder. Pouring rain. Very dark. We are making up for lost time quickly.
  18. Hopefully everyone gets some beneficial rain today. I definitely feel fortunate right now. Mower is in position...
  19. Already up to .22" here. Very dark with thunder. Feeling pretty good right now.
  20. Got up to 89 at 2:15. Clouds moved in and light rain is now falling.
  21. They did just update temperatures though - early this morning my forecast high was near 80, now it's 85. Good thing they did that, it's currently partly sunny and 84 here.
