    So far, full sun here...she's cooking... I say that, but there is a nice breeze. It doesn't feel that bad at all outside.

    Something weird happened last evening...Canderson spiked to 82 after dark, I was still at 77 at 11pm. I was kind of surprised I got "down" to 70 last night. Whatever, but last evening was an incredibly mild, humid evening after dark. My wife was out and came home around 9pm and was going on about how "hot" it was outside...and she is NOTHING like me. For her to say it was hot was telling.

    Cold, clear winter nights...York city is probably +8 while the airport reading is -11. You're absolutely right... THV has been on occasion the 2nd coldest airport in the state behind Bradford on those kind of nights.

    I was super jealous! I'll be at 2 games this year (Indiana and Illinois) and cannot wait. I was soaking the energy in through my big screen on Saturday. I am beyond ready to tailgate with family and resume enjoying spectacular Saturdays at the Greatest Show in College Football! Glad you had a wonderful time!

    Ended up reaching 87 here...about what I expecting last evening. Still 80 as we approach 7pm.

    Satellite shows nothing over Buffalo NY when the team in black and gold has the ball. 54 total yards from the offense...you can't ask your defense to make up for that level of ineptness.

    There was a day a few weeks ago with a similar situation - Hrrr insisted that the rapid rise in temps would level off during the afternoon. I got a couple of degrees higher than the model projected but it got the overall idea right. Next 2 hours will be telling because I've passed 80...

    It'll be interesting to see if the Hrrr is correct - already up to 78.4 here. I think upper 80s seems realistic.

    Fully expecting to hit 90-92 at least 2 days this coming week. Wouldn't surprise me if I get close tomorrow.

    Well, Bubbler is right...there is something weird going on in SE Dauphin/NW Lancaster counties...we've been consistently warmer than almost all areas all summer. (exception is MDT's high temps, which actually have been similar/lower than mine)

    I only got down to 54.4. Canderson was at 54, so I think mid 50s at MDT might be legit...

    I fully expect to reach 90 at least a day or two yet this year. I'd be surprised if it doesn't happen.

    I was at the Notre Dame-PSU game back in the 80s when the wind chill (this was prior to the updated version) was announced as -30. I might have had a coat on that for game...

    Especially on very cold/snowy days when there's empty seats around you...nothing like the cold winds and those metal bleachers reinforcing the chill.
