  1. As I said 2 days ago... Although, I'm surprised by how lousy the Phillies lineup did against minor league pitching the last 2 nights. Hard to believe how close Baltimore came to sweeping the series.
  2. The lanternflies aren't that bad here...at least not nearly on the level of the mosquitoes. I guess 15" of rain in 3 weeks will do that...
  3. Just went for a walk along the river. Two observations: The weather is spectacular. The Mosquitoes are quite possibly worse in wooded areas than I've experienced in my lifetime outside of Alaska. We had to bail and walk along Market Street in Marietta. We were absolutely getting swarmed.
  4. 3.86" final total. Very close to @CarlislePaWx total. (3.77")
  5. Yeah, the skies brightened considerably here right before it started dumping...again.
  6. I wasn't there on Saturday, I was watching on my big screen. I had to go out back after the game ended. I'm heading up to see the Hoosiers and the Fightin' Illini...
  7. No silly, that happened over the weekend following the PSU game...
  8. Looks like I'll end up shy of 15" for the month - sitting at 14.69" now.
  9. Good...the axis of rain was oriented that you were directly in the path of what fell here.
  10. Just talked to someone in Marietta (one mile from me) and he's at 4.11" for the event. Flooding in many places. I feel MUCH better now about my totals. I'm at 3.81" and the rain has slowed to a drizzle.
  11. I really don't believe my station is wrong. I'm dumbfounded at the report from MDT though, which gave me pause. It is so dark here that I can't see to work without all of the lights on.
  12. I sure did, and as I said earlier, I heard nothing at all. I was stunned when I looked at the station. Speaking of which, I'm going to make a serious run at 4". I'm up to 3.61" for the event now. Still raining.
  13. Looks to me like we'll end up with very similar totals. I'm ready for some great fall weather as well!
  14. 3.03" since midnight here - still raining, but intensity is lessening.
  15. I worked an 18 hour day yesterday and crashed last night. I woke up about 30 minutes ago, looked out and saw it was wet. Checked my station expecting to see maybe a half inch or something along those lines...I was stunned when I saw that I was over 2.75" at the time. Looks like I'll be able to eclipse the 3" mark for the day with what is left to fall. Do you see that area of rain over the eastern Chesapeake moving due north? That will miss me to my east, but man, the rates in that must be insane. That is a nasty looking train set up...
  16. Morning, Rainfall since midnight: 2.81" (and currently heavy rain) Rainfall for the event: 3.16" Rainfall month to the moment: 14.04"
  17. I can't get excited about this until Bubbler is on board.
  18. Agree with you regarding Morey 100%. He will not back down and accept anything less than what he wants.
  19. Got a shower earlier this evening, sitting at .35" for the day.
  20. .30" at home today, which takes me to 11.18" for the month. There was nothing at work all day outside of a few sprinkles.
  21. Simmons has vowed to never don an NBA uniform again until he's on a new team. This will be interesting to watch play out.
  22. A good right fielder catches that hit and it's 2 wins in a row for the Birds. That last play, the triple, is a perfect example of the little things in baseball that separate good and bad teams. It was a good pitch, JT did what he needed to do with it and it worked out well for the home team.
