  1. MU says if the current trends continue, the LSV might need to worry less about flooding rains on Friday and worry more about Tornadoes. His call is 3-6" west of South Mountain with 1-3" east. I know the drill - I need to root for sleet to preserve the pack.
  2. The 10" event on 8/31/2018 was highly localized in parts of northern Lancaster county. No one else would have received anything close to that, so you're most likely thinking of a completely separate event.
  3. That almost perfectly matches the great Mount Joy deluge of 8/31/2018. There was a station that recorded 5.91" in one hour, or essentially 1"/10 minutes. That...is some heavy rainfall. Total rainfall that day in Mount Joy was 10.57". I got 6.16" that day. Most since Lee in 2011 and nothing has matched it since. https://weather.com/news/news/2018-08-31-mount-joy-flash-flooding-stranded-cars
  4. I was waiting to see your numbers. You have a great shot at being over 10" in the first 10 days of the month. Impressive.
  5. There's a cell that's heading your way (about to enter Fulton County right now) that seems to be holding together really well. That could get you your .25" for the day in the next couple of hours.
  6. You "should" (hopefully) be better positioned than just about all of us to do well on Friday. Hoping...
  7. H2O roundup: Rainfall since midnight: .03" Rainfall yesterday: 1.75" August rainfall: 3.25" Rainfall YTD: 25.11"
  8. Up to .82" as the rain briefly increases in intensity. Temp is 68.
  9. Here it was the quintessential garden variety summer thundershower. I'm good with that because the rain is falling at a perfect, soaking rate.
  10. That was embarrassing. I sent texts to our kids who are local to take cover. It rained hard for several minutes and that was it. Now...get yourself some rain.
  11. .62" in the bucket for the day. Light rain now. Top wind gust was 11 mph.
  12. I couldn't either! I just followed his link from the MU Weather Center website.
  13. 90%+ of us haven't receiving anything at all or of consequence - it's just that one cell that went nuts.
  14. Lancaster 911 is lit up with storm damage and flooding - all of it centered pretty much a 5-10 mile radius of @Superstorm Nothing is happening elsewhere.
  15. Starting to remind me of the Mount Joy cell from several years ago that dropped nearly 10" in 2 hours.
  16. This area of rain has congealed into almost a solid but thin line of intense rain that extends from Lanco all the way into the Atlantic south of NYC.
  17. Sun is out in Maytown as well - oh the tale of a 20 minute drive...
  18. We are getting smoked here at work. You're not kidding about the lightning. 3rd huge storm in a week here. Near zero visibility right now.
  19. I'd like to thank MU for giving me a callout in his just-updated discussion: https://www.millersville.edu/weathercenter/forecasts/weather-discussion.php
