  1. Having watched every down of every game, I'm okay with his play calling. The issue is the offensive line that has been overwhelmed pretty much the entire season.
  2. Coming out your way tomorrow. Visiting Caledonia.
  3. The Villanova game spoke volumes about how good PSU really is. They controlled the line of scrimmage that day, and they lost because of big plays. Clifford playing injured was obviously a factor but it felt like Illinois ran for like 400 yards. We are getting pushed all over the field on both sides of the ball. 2 very frustrating games to watch this weekend. Going to be a long drive home this evening. After coming up here for 47 years I guess it's fitting that my first loss in person went 9 overtimes. And that's telling too - Illinois defensively wasn't even ranked in the top 100 in the country but we failed repeatedly to score from the 3 yard line. As you would say "Hail to Pitt" - time for Pickett's charge tonight
  4. This is my 43rd PSU game. I have never watched them lose in person. They are going to do so today.
  5. Now, let's see what happens this afternoon. Fall weather has arrived here at the Beav.
  6. Trust me, what happened in Philly last night was the true definition of a choke. The last 6 minutes were an embarrassment.
  7. Sounds like much less in the way of sun over this way which probably accounts for some of that.
  8. Yes. I think for now to anticipate Monday being a day we reach the 70s is solid thinking. Don't get any more specific than that.
  9. A much more seasonable 63 here today with more clouds than sun right now.
  10. Big bust potential alert! Forecasting temps that day will not be for the faint of heart.
  11. I've been quietly watching that time period for another opportunity to make a run towards 80. Not out of the question at all.
  12. Yep... Looking forward to tonight nonetheless. Should be a fun night with my wife.
  13. My favorite trick was back in the 90s - I had Flyers and Hershey Bears season tickets. Flyers would often play Saturday afternoon games at 1pm. Bears traditionally played Saturday home games at 7pm. I'd go to Philly, watch the Fly guys, hop on the turnpike and be in Hershey just in time for doors to open.
  14. 78/53 split here. 0" of rain officially this week. Big weekend for me, 76ers home opener tonight (arrive home around midnight) and then up at 4:30am tomorrow to head to Happy Valley.
  15. Just eclipsed yesterday's high by 1 degree. 78 here now.
  16. Probably my most favorite met of all time was/is Paul Knight. That guy was fantastic. He absolutely nailed the Blizzard of '96 days before anyone else even sniffed it.
  17. "From Independence Hall...this is KYW... your news station ...1060 on your radio dial. Good morning, I'm Harry Donahue. Our engineer is Dave Bradfield. In the news at 10:00am, a major winter storm is bearing down on the Delaware Valley. We'll have a live report from Elliott Abrams in just a minute, but first here's Dave Carlson with traffic on the 2's..."
  18. Dave was on ABC Channel 6, which was Accu Weather.
  19. John is vilified. Mostly because of that prediction (which is a shame, I thought in general he was really good) but he also had a "vibe" around town that didn't sit well with a lot of people.
