  1. 27 here this morning. PSU sweatshirt on as I head south to Maryland.
  2. Also...on the map I posted above, the Sierra looks to be primed for yet another early season dump!
  3. WPC 7 day paints a relatively dry scenario through Friday. Love to see the next couple of days beyond this...
  4. Soon enough, there will be some bigly nooners about to come out.
  5. What an awful fall season it was for mosquitoes. Good riddance.
  6. Frosty Friday - I had to scrape at 5am to get to work. Left at 8am to go across campus only to find my car encased in frost a 2nd time.
  7. 29 this morning when I left for work. Delayed but certainly not denied - I don't recall the first frost/freeze of the season being followed by another...and another...and another. Growing season is done.
  8. Have a great time! I love spending time on the Florida east coast - I'm envious right now.
  9. 52 and sunny here in the historic district, that's a plus 3 from yesterday's high of 49. Still well below normal for the date.
  10. You got that right! I left Pittsburgh on a Monday after a game at the end of October in 2012...little east cost storm named Sandy was making some noise in these here parts. Anyway, it was a tricky drive up around Somerset coming east that Monday.
  11. Increasing chances that I'll see my first snow later next week. If I don't in Pittsburgh, I'll have a much better chance crossing the Laurels on the way home Monday.
  12. You haven't spent enough time watching Pittsburgh against horrible teams. I was at the PITT - Tampa game IN Pittsburgh in 2014. Tampa finished the year 2-14 AND had to start their back up QB that game due to injuries. Tampa Bay won. I will be shocked if the Lions don't win a game this year. It took a freaking miracle kick for them to lose to the Ravens for crying out loud.
  13. If either of you (or anyone else) watched the show "Monk" that was on years ago - those who know me best call me Adrian.
  14. Consensus I've heard is: Detroit 27 Steelers 24 Book it...
  15. Yes...I truly do love snow, but unlike some, there are times when I like it a whole lot better than others. 4" of snow in December to me is better than triple that in mid March. Not that I don't get excited about snow in March, but there's that realization that you better enjoy it immediately 'cause it won't be hanging around long. Snow early in the season has the advantage of shorter days and low sun angle, throw in the holidays and it's pretty special. (and the hope that there's more to come)
  16. Completely understand - this is the hardest time of the year to get our river walks in, which are super important to us. Definitely some schedule challenges right now. Snow in December...I love the fact that if it stops around 3pm, we only have another hour tops before melting is halted. I hate March snow when it stops mid afternoon and you have to agonize for several more hours of melting before the sun sets. Yes, I'm weird. I know this.
  17. Oh my yes! Mid November to the end of the year is my absolute favorite time of the year for many reasons, but very early darkness is right at the top. To me, early sunset = wintery feel.
  18. Significant amounts? Anything outside of the Laurels?
  19. 27 was my low here, 29 out there now. Congrats MDT!
  20. I'm going out on a limb and saying no - there is a fair amount of cloudiness out there and I'm not sure we'll have optimal conditions to radiate a lot overnight. I'm at 36 right now which is 4 degrees below last night at this time when I got down to 30, so there's that.
  21. Steelers! I'll be in the Steel City Friday through Monday.
