  1. @paweather - while we wait for our opportunity locally...go ahead and make your plans. You will not regret it. https://www.mammothmountain.com/on-the-mountain/mammoth-webcam/the-village
  2. Wow, when was the big discrepancy? I had .33" on Monday, I sort of recall you saying you got around .30"? Tuesday night I jackpotted with .44" in about 30 minutes...but I thought you did pretty well from that as well? Yesterday my tally was 1.68" - did you only get around 1"?
  3. James Franklin > MU if that happened. Last week he talked about hosting a playoff game and he mentioned about there likely being 16" of snow on the ground for that game.
  4. Looks like there's decent model consensus of SOMETHING to track during the 12/20 - 12/22 timeframe.
  5. It was brutal - sometime just after noon we started to see flurries in Maytown. I'm nervously thinking "here we go"...but they stopped 5 minutes later. It was then that I was pretty sure our fate was sealed. Looking west across the river towards York County the sky started to get bright as some clearing was moving west to east. We went to visit my wife's grandmother in New Holland and it was snowing lightly there with a light dusting on the ground. That was about the farthest west that there was much of anything visible on the ground. I spent that evening depressed, hopped on the forum and got more depressed reading the NYC forum. Pictures and video were surreal that night.
  6. Blizz just told Mrs. Blizz that Christmas 2024 is on the AC Boardwalk!
  7. Rendell postponed the Sunday Night Football game in Philly due to the storm - they had like 2" at kickoff.
  8. Lancaster County was under a Winter Storm Warning the morning of the storm for 6-12"...which was "tweaked" in the early afternoon to 3-6"...which was "tweaked" late afternoon to a coating to an inch or 2. My ground truth? T.
  9. Boxing Day Blizzard 2010. Another kick in the groin.

  11. December 2000 is when my...uh...private parts got permanently damaged. The 'ole "kick in the nuts" storm if there ever was one.
  12. Final 3-day rainfall tally in Maytown was 2.45". There was standing water in low-lying areas around town this morning - been a LONG time since I've seen that.
  13. That is utterly ridiculous. For our annual football weekend in Pittsburgh, my son and I stay at the Residence Inn North Shore, which is a couple of blocks from the stadium. This year I paid $269/night, which I booked about 5 minutes after the schedule release. The next day the rates were in the $400-$500/night range...jacked up but nothing like what you shared at PSU. $2500? That is nuts.
  14. Temp has crashed 20 degrees since 8am from 61 down to 41. Light rain, strong gusty winds with 1.61" of rainfall for the day.
  15. This isn't an isolated incident, either. There were multiple occurrences of this happening on the same day. I know that UF did the same at Doak Campbell.
  16. 10 degree temp drop in the past 30 minutes - down to 51 with moderate rain. .84" for the day.
  17. Yeah, we should see things pick up later this morning. Only .01" here over the past hour. Right now it's a heavy mist.
  18. Rainfall last evening overperformed here - it seems to be perhaps underperforming so far today? Maybe? I'm at 0.56 since midnight, only .08" over the past 3 hours. Looks like it will pick up here in the next 2 hours.
  19. Rainfall total thus far: Monday: .33" Tuesday: .44" Wednesday: .50" Current temp is 60.4
  20. MU: a few wet snowflakes as the storm ends, mainly west of Rt. 15.
  21. Socked in overcast and 45 here. Edit: Temp has risen 0.7 degrees since 7am.
