  1. The most incredible stat to me is the Warriors scored that one point over 8.5 minutes. At home.
  2. They went on a run that made the Warriors famous. Nice to see it turned on them for once.
  3. @Mount Joy Snowman likes to provide fascinating weather-related info for us - I can't match his fun, obscure facts, but I will say that out in the Sierra mountain range, Mammoth Mountain picked up 161" of snow in December. In January and February combined, they received 7".
  4. Yes, still a lot of volatility to keep things interesting for a while longer.
  5. Was just reading some comments from Bob Chill and he's even less enthused than CTP. LOL
  6. I looked at the 12z GFS yesterday. Other than that, I haven't looked at anything for about a week now. I just don't see a lot out there to get excited about. Maybe something will change in the mid range.
  7. To say that CTP is not enthused is an understatement - my forecast is for Mostly Sunny every day this week with highs later in the week in the mid 40s.
  8. GFS long range is rain and more rain. No snow in the LSV throughout.
  9. 76ers with a staggering 26 first half free throws. Going to be a lot of long games upcoming.
  10. GFS has a little white rain around next Thursday and then an Apps runner the following week that as is showing now would be a snow>mix>rain event. That is around March 11th. That's also the only storm of significance for the entirety of the run.
  11. Yeah, I mean when I went to bed everything was frozen - roads, trees, sidewalks, bedroom, grass, mulch, power lines, etc. It was pouring sleet and it "seemed" to me to be the biggest ice event at my casa in a long time. Ground is still white in spots now.
  12. It started as a burst of ZR here...after 10-15 minutes, it flipped to heavy sleet. That lasted about 30 minutes. There was a brief pause, then a good 2+ hours of moderate to heavy sleet that was winding down when I fell asleep between 1-1:30am. I wonder if you were raining during that period...
  13. Also, in hindsight I wish I would have measured the sleet. I have no idea how much I received but it was certainly more than .1". I had about 3 hours of sleet, much of it was moderate to heavy.
  14. Looks like the snow underperformed well up into NY State based on their thread this morning. Sleet line moved farther north than anticipated (shocking) and they're saying that it's winding down quicker than thought as well.
  15. Sometimes the weather excites us Sometimes the weather frustrates us Sometimes the weather makes us sad Sometimes the weather fascinates us Sometimes the weather might even scare us And sometimes...the weather humbles us I was seriously downplaying the ice factor for last night. I was wrong, and I'm not afraid to admit it. Another lesson learned, to file away and add to 50 years of continuous learning. That's what I love most about this hobby - you just don't really know.
  16. Interesting...everything save the roads (which is slushy) is still encased in ice. My steps and sidewalk are a mess. Things are improving now that the temp is 31.9, but this greatly exceeded my "prediction".
