  1. Yep, I'm fully onboard the warm overnight express....
  2. My wife and I were cleaning out our closet over the weekend and I noticed that my jacket had a film of dust on it - guess it's been a while since I've had any form of outerwear on...
  3. Congratulations! That's a great accomplishment to upend the king from his throne.
  4. They took the Brunt-son of the Dub's wrath last night.
  5. Picked up .65" total here, .05" of which fell before midnight. That's 1.92" of rain since last Friday PM.
  6. Maytown Mike has just transformed to Maverick Mike.
  7. Certainly respect both opinions here, and wouldn't want to wager on it. I'd lean on getting past 90 here in Lanco both days but quite possibly not in Rouzerville.
  8. Sorry, I missed the part that you bolded. LOL Yeah, that isn't going to go over very well with a few here...
  9. Nah, he's looking for a "tango" on a "voyage" with a couple of our posters...
  10. ...and now Elliott is liking what I'm suggesting: For the first time since August 27, 2021, I am now predicting the mercury to reach or exceed the 90-degree mark at Millersville and across the entire Lower Susquehanna Valley outside of the highest elevations (i.e. South Mountain). In fact, it's not out of the question that temperatures reach 93-95 °F in downtown Lancaster, York, and Harrisburg. Factor in sunshine and 60- to 70-degree dewpoints, and heat index values will be in the mid-to-upper 90s in the hottest locations. Because our bodies haven't experienced or acclimated to these kind of temperatures since last summer, it's critical to stay hydrated, avoid alcoholic beverages, and take frequent indoor breaks to minimize the risk of heat exhaustion, especially if you're engaging in strenuous activity or plan to spend several hours outdoors. Wearing lightweight and light-colored clothing is also a good idea in extreme heat. The sultry air mass will remain in place Saturday night and prevent overnight lows from falling below 70 °F in most spots, and I can't rule out a second-consecutive 90-degree day on Sunday depending on the timing of an approaching cold front.
  11. Wow. Is there any other guidance even close to that?
  12. Yeah...a lot of people are going to be in for a rude awakening. In the span of 2 weeks we'll go from Saturday temps in the 40s to the 90s.
  13. It's an equally pleasant 65 here. Just walked across campus and it was nice to get out for a little.
  14. Actually no. I haven't looked at a model in quite some time. I'm basing my call on memory from similar temp/dew/wind component/cloud cover nights in the past. Just seems like we're primed for a night where a lot of areas don't make it below 70. An uneducated guess if you will. LOL
  15. Eovaldi went on the DL last night from neck soreness. (lots of turning watching balls sail out of Fenway)
  16. 79.2 - looks like I might end up just shy of 80 today.
  17. @Mount Joy Snowman - Peter Sinks "only" got down to 20.7 overnight. I'm hooked on that station.
  18. Looks like temps on both Friday and Saturday nights might not drop below 70. Impressive for May.
  19. Save this for posterity - there will be a storm this year that get like 4" from and I'm left high and dry. It's coming.
  20. Yeah...I thought about that when I posted. The Suns scored like 8 points in the final 30 seconds. LOL
  21. Oh yes, I did see that! I was going to comment about that yesterday until work got in the way.
  22. I finished with a half inch on the nose yesterday to "finish" with 1.27" since Friday evening.
  23. The Red Sox thread on this forum is unreadable. People were giving up on the team weeks ago. Do people not learn anything from history? Last year, the Sox started off by getting swept at home by the Orioles and were floundering during April. We saw how that ended. LOL Pennants aren't won in May. (though, if you fall far enough back it can be difficult to win the division, but with all of the wild cards now, the Sox have plenty of time to make up ground.) Shoot - July 19th (that's a little over 2 months from now) 1978 the Yankees trailed the Red Sox by 14 games...guess who won the division? Bucky f'ing Dent. LOL
