  1. Yesterday morning, my forecast for Saturday was for one half to three quarters of an inch of rain. Last evening, my forecast for Saturday was for one quarter to one half inch of rain. This morning, my forecast is for less than one tenth of an inch of rain. Look for a new thread to be hoisted over the weekend. (Central PA 2022 Drought Monitor)
  2. Correct. That could very well had a tragic ending.
  3. This is not a funny situation nor am I in any way trying to minimize the issue on any level. Related - I remember going on the ride at Chocolate World with my wife and kids years ago. There's a section of the ride where you pass by the "conching" machine. It's where the chocolate is mixed for lack of better understanding. My wife and I looked at each other and we both agreed it would be kind of fun to have a pool of that in our yard. Never thought that someone would ever actually fall into a tank/pool of chocolate...
  4. A rare Saturday night game in the Bronx. I know they play almost all weekend games in the sun.
  5. If Saturday doesn't deliver I'm starting the Central PA 2022 Drought Monitor.
  6. Imagine if you lived where I do...only .13" fell here. I'm honestly stunned. It was raining hard at midnight, at that time I had .08" and radar to the west was juiced. Cannot believe I only got .05" after that. I can't imagine if it was winter...
  7. MU Weather Center@MUweather It may be perfectly sunny outside right now, but slow-moving showers & t-storms across northern/western VA & northeastern WV are on their way. Timing for storms in the Lower Susquehanna Valley is 8 p.m. this evening to 5 a.m. Thursday. Up to 2” of rain is possible in spots.
  8. My point and click is quite ominous for tonight "an error occurred processing your request." It can't tabulate how much rain I'm getting.
  9. I got far less rain than a lot on here - .21" was my total. Areas under trees remained mainly dry.
  10. Thinking some areas get a lot of rain overnight - would not be surprised if a few posters report 1"+ amounts tomorrow morning.
  11. One thing my wife and I love to do is ride our bikes south from Rehoboth along Coastal Highway and across the Indian River bridge. That...is one gorgeous bridge and the views up on top are spectacular!
  12. .20" in the gauge with rain still falling. #win
  13. I understand. I like the rare days when it's 80/48 or so - I'm not wearing a jacket at anything close to 48, however.
  14. That band of showers in western Adams and Franklin counties might deliver something here in an hour or so...
  15. Seeing signs of prolonged NW flow overall in the coming weeks should help keep the air somewhat drier I'd think.
  16. Wishing you many some a few hot days ahead!
  17. Records are made to be broken. Onward to Voyager's Summer thread!
  18. Tomorrow night could be interesting - CTP not talking much about severe (could be some pretty good storms I think) but they are mentioning the heavy rain threat: Long-term forecast is trending more unsettled than previously forecast. Wednesday into Thursday will be rather wet with low- pressure system moving over the commonwealth. Rain totals for this quick moving system may top 1 inch, especially in the east where stronger forcing is expected.
  19. Best chances of rain here is after 5pm. I'll take anything today and hope for more significant rainfall tomorrow night.
