  1. Thanks, and congrats to you good folks as well! As far as no better feeling - I don't own anyone anything. House is paid off, no car payments, no loans, no credit card debt...nada. With the way things are today, it makes our choices feel especially comforting. No stress when you're not on the hook for anything. I also had a low of 57, which is unusual that we had the same temp on a night "like last night" - thought you might have radiated a little better than me.
  2. In our area, convenience stores are starting out from $17/hour and up. Hersheypark is still in the $14/$15 range but they seem to be at the lower end of the spectrum. No idea about housing. I became mortgage free last year and have no interest in looking to start over at this point.
  3. Based on what's happening here at work...maybe so. A fine start to the day out there near Deep Creek Lake.
  4. Heard it on my way in this morning - both Caledonia and Codorus are closed due to lack of guards.
  5. Well, hopefully the cooler projections win out. Especially now that Caledonia is keeping the pool closed for the entire summer. I thought it was interesting that it was announced on the news that the reason was for a much needed maintenance project. And, a lack of lifeguards. Seems like the lack of lifeguards would allow the maintenance project to be prioritized.
  6. I was going to post about tomorrow - I know Superstorm was talking about Thursday - Saturday, but I wouldn't be surprised if some areas flirt with the 90 mark tomorrow.
  7. Snuck in a 59 for the low. 64 and sunny now.
  8. Still sitting at 73 here at 10:30pm. 50s seem unlikely right now.
  9. Ended up with .31" of rain today for a 2 day total of .76"
  10. I love that call. Hard to argue either day.
  11. Next time you're flying in the runway lights go off.
  12. Not a drop of rain here at work this morning. Not sure about home. Mondays are my crazy busy days here.
  13. Definitely damp on my drive to work earlier. Sun is peaking out now. Prior to that, I picked up .08" of rain early this morning, .45" total since yesterday. It's very humid outside, and one other bit of usless information - at 7pm last evening my temp was 72.7. Since then, it has remained between 72.1 and 73.2. No temp movement at all over the past 12 hours. That's all I got.
  14. .36" of welcomed rainfall this evening. Glad to see others who did very well.
  15. That's odd. My front door faces south and it's vibrating from the wind. Still is. Just reached 90 - #10th time this year.
  16. 87 here. A degree higher than yesterday at this time. Yesterday I reached 92. It's notably more windy today...actually, it's quite gusty. Surprised there aren't more comments about the wind.
  17. Glad to hear you had a great time! Low humidity on the North Carolina coast in mid to late June is exceptionally rare. We've never once had that. Awesome that you did.
  18. 74 at 12:45am. Probably won't drop too far below 70 overnight.
  19. Yes indeed. The MLB season is a marathon and most certainly not a sprint.
  20. They're playing their best baseball by far since 2016. Really exciting to watch this team grow up in front of our eyes.
  21. High today was 92, still at 90 now. Randomly, the Orioles are playing their best baseball since 2016. 20-14 over the past 34 games, and 23 games ahead of last year's pace. The youngsters are coming around...
  22. I had a 20-30 minute period of cloud cover that did the trick. Once the sun returned, so did the heat. Currently I'm at 92.
