  1. You've gotten a lot more rain than I have recently and I'm still mowing every 10 days or so.
  2. Elliott on our prospects of 100 degree temps on Sunday, plus the potential for heat longevity that hasn't happened in Lanco for "decades" - interesting read: https://www.millersville.edu/weathercenter/forecasts/weather-discussion.php
  3. That seems very possible - any "cooldown" will probably last just a couple of days at most. Should be a fun week for me at Pinchot starting next Friday.
  4. It's all that rain you were quietly getting over the past several weeks.
  5. Tuesday: 91 Wednesday: 94 Thursday: 95 Today (So far): 93
  6. That's the key to how high we go obviously...maybe tomorrow ends up outperforming Sunday?
  7. I think the local guy's call of a 40% chance of 100 on Sunday is looking better and better. I'd bump that up to 50/50 at this point at least.
  8. Interesting - I'm running a couple of degrees cooler today from this time yesterday. It's 83 here currently.
  9. Granted, that map show what the maximum HI might be, but still...
  10. CTP's Heat Index forecast for the weekend - Lancaster on the threshold of an Excessive Heat Warning on Sunday:
  11. Overnight low was 73, currently 78 and mostly sunny.
  12. MU mentioned that Lanco had a HI of 100 at some point this afternoon. Today was the first day this summer that the heat got to me. I went out to water my plants after work but called it off after 10 minutes. Finished up a few minutes ago. 88 at 8pm.
  13. I think 6pm on Saturday won't be quite as bad as 1pm on Sunday.
  14. My contention is that it's always breezy (at least) in South Philly. Until Saturday. LOL
  15. Just reached 94 degrees. Quite breezy as well.
  16. For sure - that's one reason why I felt we'd cap in the low to perhaps mid 90s at best today. We have a couple of days coming imminently that seem to have much more potential for temps flirting with the century mark.
  17. Just reached 90. Day #3 in a row, #17th day this year.
  18. Usually that's a sweatshirt unless it's really (below 25 degrees or so) cold.
  19. How far north do you want to go? I'm with you 100% by the way. My wife and I have 2 warm trips looming over the coming months (Bermuda next month and Sanibel Island FL in the fall) and from then on, we're looking at trips to Maine, Montana, and the northern Sierra. I'm going with an open mind...
