What is the "long sleeves" thing you speak about? Also - my forecast for today is Sunny and a high of 66. It's currently raining...(very lightly)

38 here. Elliott Abrams used to refer to this weather as "2 Jacket Days" - cold enough (for most of you) to need a jacket in the morning, then forget it at work when it's warm in the afternoon, only to need another jacket the next morning.

Our AC kicked on last evening just as the temp reached 39.9 - my wife thought it was awesome. I married a great woman. LOL- 63? That's tee shirt and shorts temps. It's my Alaskan blood.

Weather station looks like a seismograph today. Temp is bouncing between 51 and 55 depending on whether or not the sun shining.

71 @ 11:50am. Still running a few degrees ahead of yesterday...though I think the high will occur earlier this afternoon as clouds are marching SE and will likely cap heating by 2pmish.

64 here - yesterday at 10am I was 62. Likely I'll add a degree, maybe 2 in the next 15 minutes.

Conventional wisdom coaching is out the door - how many times do we now see a coach go for it on 4th and 3 from their own 35? That NEVER happened years ago unless it was desperation time. Coaches are putting their teams (defenses) in some really bad situations. I agree...same with players. Russ looks absolutely horrid out there. He had to play an awful game to lose last night and somehow he found it in him to do just that.

Biggest underdog in 53 seasons. Gut feeling - Steel puts up an epic fight but loses late.

Random musing - there have been some truly atrocious NFL games so far this season. More than I recall in previous seasons. A few involving Denver, but not just them. The first half of the Steelers-Jets game was the most embarrassing half of football that I've personally witnessed. Amazon's new contract brought with it some clunkers.

It actually rained a 2nd time (a little) after midnight - an additional .02" recorded this morning. .12" isn't too shabby when the POP last night was 0%. LOL

My "official" high was 77.2 I'm guessing that perhaps MDT stayed a little cooler due to the river? Maybe? I'd think the water temp has probably come down some over the past couple of weeks.

NO!!!!! Nothing good comes from snow that early - at least that's what our history has been. We had snow in early October 1979...ended up with a TOTAL of 7.5" (MU) for the entire winter. I don't think the winter of 2011-12 was much better after it snowed in October. Keep that October snow far away please.
