Yep, there are so many things that people are involved with these days. I hesitate to say this because I'm really go to show my age here...life just seemed a lot simpler years ago. Not as many things vying for attention.

Yes indeed...going to feign a look of disappointment Saturday morning, say the "right" things to my wife...all while smiling on the inside.

We have the same issue here at work - we used to rely heavily on students to fill our busiest season (May through the beginning of September) but we can't find the numbers that we used to, and those that do work are only available until the end of the first week of August. We get a little over 2 months from most of them, and that's it. I have very fond memories of swimming at Caledonia as a child. My grandparents had a cabin about 5 miles north of the park up off Rt. 233. We'd have big family gatherings during the summer, and all of us kids were sent down to the pool to work off extra energy. LOL

Not a good start to the community pools season.

Well, a rainy dreary Saturday allows me to watch basketball in peace instead of feeling like I need to be outside working.

One of only a few events that I can remember recently where WPC has been increasing precip amounts as we approach the start time:

Luka has played very well. Once the Suns offense got rolling, it never stopped. Low of 52 here as well. Bring on the dreariness! (I'd prefer it came during the middle of the week though )

I've mentioned this about 100 times over the course of the season, but we cannot count on our bench for anything. Literally. What an embarrassment they were tonight and Danny was our poster child of ineptitude. Good luck to the Mavs!

Saturday looks like about as bad a day to be at a theme park as possible, especially during the "summer" operating season.

WPC really bumped up our totals since early this morning - at that time, I was in the lighter blues:

If we keep getting all this rain, I'll be mowing 3 times a week.

Yeah, we usually get there early anyway. I need to go back...it's been a few years.

What are our 11 counties? Franklin, Adams, Cumberland, York, Lancaster, Dauphin, Schuylkill. Who we including in the other 4?

I read this smiling and shaking my head simultaneously - I'm now what...nearly 2 months into mowing season here? I'm probably over a dozen times now.

Still cloudy here at noon, but the cloud deck at least is lifting. Suspect we'll see some sun here in the next hour or so. (at least locally)
