  1. Ran into drizzle just below Shrewsbury on my way to Baltimore and had it on and off most of the afternoon and early evening. Got home about 9pm to almost perfectly clear skies. A pleasant 66 now.
  2. Agreed. Approaching the time period that separates good and bad GMs. More is needed...but what's the cost to do that? Excited to have this type of conversation.
  3. 7 in a row! On the Light Rail heading home now. Over 32,000 on a miserable day in Baltimore. Crowd was rocking. Took me back to my childhood.
  4. Classic game that I fell in love with back in the early 1970s. I will get way more excited over a 2-1 game than a slugfest any day.
  5. High today was 76 at home. It's currently 73 in downtown Baltimore as the Angels rally.
  6. Wow. Finished with .06" here. Pretty big fail from what I was seeing.
  7. I thought the models were all over the place- one model today had 3" for me tonight.
  8. Went to my first game in 1977. I was 12, it took me that long to convince my dad to make the drive down from Lancaster county. In 1984 I bought my first season ticket plan at 19...had them until 1997 when marriage, kids, and career made the constant travel no longer feasible. Since then it's been a game here and there. Heading down for tomorrow's game. Going back in August for the 30th anniversary night for Camden Yards. We Orioles fans have suffered long enough. This year is fun. - Diehard black and orange fan from PA.
  9. 6 in a row for the Orioles. 24-13 over their past 27 games. People have mocked Orioles attendance numbers for quite a few years...all it takes is a little hope and a few wins. Only 12,000 tickets were sold for tonight's game prior to today. 16,000 tickets were sold today for tonight's game.
  10. That's really impressive, especially coming off a pretty good soaking just the other night. Not a lot of sun the past 2 days to encourage growth, however.
  11. That's the kind of information that will make @Mount Joy Snowman salivate. LOL The stat about Tampa is not overly shocking, but if I wasn't privy to that info, I probably would have bet at some point that they reached 100. It's not the extreme heat...but it's relentless. And relentless with unrelenting humidity. Of course, you this all too well.
  12. We had a heatwave back in the mid 1990s...I don't keep heat records like I do snow, so this is based off of memory and not written down as facts. What I do remember is having a 3 day stretch where highs were in the 100s and my lows were in the low to mid 80s. That was the hottest stretch I recall during my lifetime.
  13. It's been a Interstate 81 South and East summer thus far. I wouldn't mind it if this pattern held in oh say...January 2023?
  14. Managed a late day high of 85 after spending hours right around the 80 degree mark.
  15. Should be an interesting evening radar watching. Southern tier has to be getting pretty soggy - I know you referenced this earlier in the week, but southern Lanco and Chester have been getting hit hard. That area down around Nottingham/Oxford and environs is over 6" in the past 7 days.
  16. If you get another 1-3" tonight, I'd think you'd have to be cranking the engine by early next week.
  17. This reality will have him scrambling for a snow map in t-minus 5 hours...
  18. Road crews must have done a great job getting things treated overnight.
  19. Right? I need to start patenting my commentary. LOL How much did you get last night?
  20. MU Weather Center@MUweather Last night's rain was a story of the "haves and have nots." While areas north of the PA Turnpike received a few hundredths of an inch of rain, a general 1-2" fell in parts of southern Adams, York and Lancaster Counties. Only 0.14" fell at @millersvilleu, with 0.27" at my house.
  21. 2 things I noticed this morning: Last night's event would have created some hard feelings if it had come in January Showers are now in the forecast for Saturday. I'm guessing the front is now slower to move through...which isn't abnormal in July.
