  1. ...and there he is, the zen of data collection! Well done Tim! So - MDT has a "5 day heat wave" approximately every 3 years, and a "7 day heat wave" approximately every 7-8 years. Which do we like better?
  2. Good point. 90 degrees for this guy is never a cake walk though...LOL
  3. Who says we have to follow what others have deemed appropriate for us? We can create our own parameters here in our own thread! Where's @TimB with a breakdown for how many times MDT reaches 90 or above on 5 consecutive days? 7 consecutive days? I honestly wouldn't have a clue.
  4. I agree with both of you - I think if there's going to be an "official" designation, it's got to be at least 5 consecutive days at a minimum.
  5. Definitely a beautiful area out your way - loved it as a child and enjoy my trips today out to Caledonia and environs.
  6. I've been reading your obs closely during all the seasons. There are notable exceptions but generally speaking, you're a solid 5 or so degrees cooler than I am. This is important because it might mean the difference between my AC running 250 days a year instead of the 300 or so that it currently runs.
  7. Yep - front made it to a few miles east of Lanco and stopped. Much of the county will reach the low to mid 90s this afternoon. Yet another win for Elliott!
  8. 92 with blazing sun. Day #6 above 90, first heat wave of 2022 in the books.
  9. Well...they both found Paradise, so there's that...LOL Yep, I've noticed that as well. I guess the Conestoga River doesn't have the same cooling effect as the might Susquehanna.
  10. @Superstorm I can't fully download the latest temps on the wunderground site, but 60s are as close as the Delaware River and it's only in the low 70s in Chester county. Going to be an interesting day across the area to see who continues to bake and who pulls back under the influence of the front. Could be a 78 today in Paradise and 92 in Elizabethtown.
  11. I'm craving a good backdoor cold front. I was out working all evening... When's fall?
  12. Actually, tomorrow looks like a day where the farther west, the better for heat. Eastern areas might get under the influence of the front/cloud cover moreso than west.
  13. 92.2 at 1pm. Here's a discussion on the severe threat for Thursday: https://www.millersville.edu/weathercenter/forecasts/weather-discussion.php
  14. Might be a case where home stations hit the low 90s and LNS sees it's way to an 89.
  15. Certainly looks like a heat wave will verify here - today will be day #2 in the 90s and it's hard to imagine we fail tomorrow. MU is already declaring victory. LOL
  16. It's 86.2 at 10:35am. Seems like it's way above what it "should" be at this time.
  17. My amusement park would have a lot of water rides. LOL
  18. Wait...you got to 90 yesterday? I only reached 83. 90 here now.
