...and there he is, the zen of data collection! Well done Tim!
So - MDT has a "5 day heat wave" approximately every 3 years, and a "7 day heat wave" approximately every 7-8 years.
Which do we like better?
Who says we have to follow what others have deemed appropriate for us? We can create our own parameters here in our own thread!
Where's @TimB with a breakdown for how many times MDT reaches 90 or above on 5 consecutive days? 7 consecutive days? I honestly wouldn't have a clue.
I've been reading your obs closely during all the seasons. There are notable exceptions but generally speaking, you're a solid 5 or so degrees cooler than I am. This is important because it might mean the difference between my AC running 250 days a year instead of the 300 or so that it currently runs.
Yep - front made it to a few miles east of Lanco and stopped. Much of the county will reach the low to mid 90s this afternoon.
Yet another win for Elliott!
Well...they both found Paradise, so there's that...LOL
Yep, I've noticed that as well. I guess the Conestoga River doesn't have the same cooling effect as the might Susquehanna.
@Superstorm I can't fully download the latest temps on the wunderground site, but 60s are as close as the Delaware River and it's only in the low 70s in Chester county. Going to be an interesting day across the area to see who continues to bake and who pulls back under the influence of the front.
Could be a 78 today in Paradise and 92 in Elizabethtown.
