  1. Thinking some areas get a lot of rain overnight - would not be surprised if a few posters report 1"+ amounts tomorrow morning.
  2. One thing my wife and I love to do is ride our bikes south from Rehoboth along Coastal Highway and across the Indian River bridge. That...is one gorgeous bridge and the views up on top are spectacular!
  3. .20" in the gauge with rain still falling. #win
  4. I understand. I like the rare days when it's 80/48 or so - I'm not wearing a jacket at anything close to 48, however.
  5. That band of showers in western Adams and Franklin counties might deliver something here in an hour or so...
  6. Seeing signs of prolonged NW flow overall in the coming weeks should help keep the air somewhat drier I'd think.
  7. Wishing you many some a few hot days ahead!
  8. Records are made to be broken. Onward to Voyager's Summer thread!
  9. Tomorrow night could be interesting - CTP not talking much about severe (could be some pretty good storms I think) but they are mentioning the heavy rain threat: Long-term forecast is trending more unsettled than previously forecast. Wednesday into Thursday will be rather wet with low- pressure system moving over the commonwealth. Rain totals for this quick moving system may top 1 inch, especially in the east where stronger forcing is expected.
  10. Best chances of rain here is after 5pm. I'll take anything today and hope for more significant rainfall tomorrow night.
  11. CTP only has a 30% chance of showers in southern Lanco, 60% likely pops in the northern parts of the county.
  12. Have a great time. Rehoboth is truly my happy place. Been vacationing there since I was born, and for many years we'd go for a week in the summer and then again in the fall. Last several years we went to OBX but I still consider Rehoboth Beach "my place" for beach trips.
  13. Clouds, peaks of sun and 70. Dews are coming up but there's still that cooling breeze.
  14. Interesting range in high temps across the region today. I only got to 81. Already down to 72 with a stiff breeze.
  15. Yep, they have been AWFUL on the river trail - there are sections that we now avoid because of how bad they are. This usually doesn't happen until at least July. Problem really ramped up the last week of May this year.
  16. We have a lot of mint. Our tomatoes look strong and healthy. Peppers and cucumbers are struggling. Strawberry yield the past week or so has been bountiful. We've always done well with our peppers. Not sure why they're hurting. Might be bugs. Speaking of which, mosquitoes have been really bad the past week. Seems early.
  17. I have a mix of a traditional and bucket garden. Most of my veggies are in buckets...soil was still okay down several inches but the top few inches dried out really fast. Grass is predominately green but it's getting brown on the edges and in certain areas. Several years ago at Heinz we had lower level end zone seats on the closed end of the stadium - we sat there and wilted until the sun sank below the west upper level. That wasn't until the 4th quarter, and we were already fried.
  18. I'm at 21 I think but things have grounded to a halt. Really amazing how quickly it happens. I spent half the weekend watering the crap out of my veggies and flowers.
  19. Agreed Jon. Well, let's back down temps a little bit come football season. I've been at Heinz Field when it was in the low 80s and it wasn't super fun.
  20. You had one or two really good rainfalls last week when most south of Harrisburg received little to nothing. Going into that stretch of hot weather, that made all the difference. I had an extremely wet spring/month of May, but after 5-6 days of predominately hot and or dry weather, my yard has turned quickly. I mowed last Wednesday and it's grown very little since. It happened THAT fast.
