  1. I'll be surprised if I don't record my 29th 90 tomorrow.
  2. 2 fascinating posts - for one area it's a top 10 month for heat, while the other is one of the coolest Augusts ever. Crazy!
  3. Good news. I hope it holds...my wife is getting a little anxious. (she has no idea that I sort of was as well) I'm the one who thought cruising in the open Atlantic at the end of August was a good idea. LOL
  4. I'll match you with a low of 59, but you solidly win yesterday's rainfall derby as I recorded .16"
  5. Air traffic control diverted the storm east and west of the airport so that the matinee jumpers could get their practice in.
  6. 62 degrees with light rain, but only .11" in the bucket at home. I guess the big story is it's 62 degrees.
  7. Irrelevant without an airport. I need to be able to fly HOME, and not to some remote airstrip in another county or state.
  8. There is a Maytown in York County right down 177 from Pinchot.
  9. Hail signature on the cell that looks to be aimed directly at Maytown. Should be fun soon. For those that are there.
  10. I had to check the radar to believe it - it's gorgeous here right now. Sunshine and some high clouds in spots.
  11. I have a vested (obviously) interest in the tropics right now, but for those of you who look at the long range modeling for our area, the GFS is banging an epic rain storm over the central 1/3rd of the state beginning at about the 10 day mark. Tropical system comes onshore down south and rides right up the spine of the Apps thereafter. Would be a prolific rain maker in PA for some.
  12. Speaking of showers, last night's GFS had a major cane striking Bermuda (direct hit) on 8/30. #Itshurricanetime arrives on 8/31 via ship...
  13. He hasn't commented, but in his morning forecast he has a 30% chance of an "isolated shower" for Saturday.
  14. MU says "okay bubbler, you win again" @MUweather The radar may be quiet this morning, but a disturbance rotating southward through PA will cause it to “light up” with scattered showers and #thunderstorms between 3-10 p.m. Locally heavy downpours, lightning, and wind gusts up to 40 mph will be the main threats.
  15. CTP raised my POP's from 20% to 70% but are still calling for less than a tenth of an inch. I feel like I say this every week, but kudos once again to @Bubbler86 for championing the rain parade for today.
  16. 62 for the low here, which is the 3rd day in a row for that number. Useless weather info but it's not often that you have the same high or low temp 3 days in a row. Partly sunny with a high cloud deck and 65 now.
  17. It indeed is an issue - I'll be in the Atlantic heading to Bermuda at that time. But, I knew why you posted that and for who and I knew it had nothing to do with me. LOL
  18. I can answer that - a lot of rain in the open waters of the Atlantic between the east coast and Bermuda.
  19. You could very well be right, and you know more about your team than I do - I just look at reality...they're 5 games out in mid August. That's not much to make up.
  20. Best post of the day. Cannot wait for sunsets before dinner.
  21. I know it's "trendy" to dismiss the Red Sox but they're very much alive for the WC. One streak and they're right in the thick of it. And they're capable of doing that.
