  1. Overnight low of 62 here in the historic district.
  2. High today was 88 here. Don't know why but I thought it felt hotter than that.
  3. Everything I've been reading lately has been about Brunson heading to MSG...wouldn't mind see him come back to Philly. I think his style fits in well with team and fan base.
  4. May you smoke cirrus for the remainder of your day...
  5. You're right - I looked out no more than 30 minutes ago and I didn't see a single cloud. Now, it's more than 50% cloud cover.
  6. Just doing some parsing myself and it "seems" like the best chance of dry weather is Monday, and the best chance of rain is on Saturday. Sunday is a complete crapshoot.
  7. Milling around 83 degrees here not far from the tarmac.
  8. I think it was Bubbler that mentioned Tamaqua - I was referring to other areas in Lancaster county.
  9. She's starting to sizzle...just reached 80 on the home station at 10:40am. Seems like upper 80s is quite possible, though we'll see if any clouds later dampen that somewhat. CTP even has a slight chance of showers here later on today, which is new to the forecast.
  10. Oh, I understand completely. I've been on the Ferris Wheel for a long time. Right now, I'm at the boarding station. LOL
  11. Definitely. I've stopped looking at my retirement funds. Too painful these days.
  12. Fortunately, ours aren't anywhere near that - but there are areas close by that are much higher than ours.
  13. Just don't beat yourself up over your current home - rather have a modest home and zero debt than a bunch of luxuries and no way to pay it off. Back in 2011 we were on the ropes. We had $40,000+ of debt PLUS the mortgage. We were in the pit and sinking deeper. We made a decision to prioritize financial freedom above all else. We'd both say that it was the best decision in our marriage. Hopefully, you'll get an opportunity and be able to capitalize on it. You're obviously very grounded in making sound decisions, so you'll do the right thing at the right time.
  14. Very, very true. Add in the soaring cost of just about every single thing that goes into a home and I feel for those who starting out right now.
  15. Thanks, and congrats to you good folks as well! As far as no better feeling - I don't own anyone anything. House is paid off, no car payments, no loans, no credit card debt...nada. With the way things are today, it makes our choices feel especially comforting. No stress when you're not on the hook for anything. I also had a low of 57, which is unusual that we had the same temp on a night "like last night" - thought you might have radiated a little better than me.
  16. In our area, convenience stores are starting out from $17/hour and up. Hersheypark is still in the $14/$15 range but they seem to be at the lower end of the spectrum. No idea about housing. I became mortgage free last year and have no interest in looking to start over at this point.
  17. Based on what's happening here at work...maybe so. A fine start to the day out there near Deep Creek Lake.
  18. Heard it on my way in this morning - both Caledonia and Codorus are closed due to lack of guards.
  19. Well, hopefully the cooler projections win out. Especially now that Caledonia is keeping the pool closed for the entire summer. I thought it was interesting that it was announced on the news that the reason was for a much needed maintenance project. And, a lack of lifeguards. Seems like the lack of lifeguards would allow the maintenance project to be prioritized.
  20. I was going to post about tomorrow - I know Superstorm was talking about Thursday - Saturday, but I wouldn't be surprised if some areas flirt with the 90 mark tomorrow.
  21. Snuck in a 59 for the low. 64 and sunny now.
  22. Still sitting at 73 here at 10:30pm. 50s seem unlikely right now.
  23. Ended up with .31" of rain today for a 2 day total of .76"
