  1. More clouds than sun now and 83. Watching the rains entering SW PA moving east.
  2. MU onboard and driving this evening's rain train: @MUweather A weak disturbance (outlined below) moving east along the remnants of Monday's cold front will trigger showers & t-storms across the Lower Susquehanna Valley this evening, mainly btw. 5 p.m. & midnight. #SevereWeather isn't a concern, but locally heavy downpours are possible. 1h
  3. After an overcast start, full sun here now. Very few cumulus in an otherwise clear sky.
  4. I mean, Bubbler did tell you that you'll come back east to warm up...
  5. CTP issued a HWO for the southern tier counties for strong to severe thunderstorms this afternoon, but in my forecast there's zero mention of rain.
  6. Let's hope we don't get suckered in to 384 hour snow maps on ANY model and believe it's coming.
  7. MU says wait a minute...I might have been wrong last week...I now think the worst heat of the summer comes after 8/6...
  8. I think there's been discussion (similar to DCA in the winter) about the airport's numbers, but apparently there were other stations in NJ above 100 as well.
  9. @Bubbler86 - I was reading elsewhere that Newark, NJ was at or above 100 for 5 consecutive days last week which I believe is an all-time record. I didn't look to see if that was officially verified as happening and indeed a record.
  10. I'm literally laughing out loud at this. Very well done! I do think my lead is bigger than that though.
  11. Actually have a little light rain falling here at work. Partly sunny at home.
  12. I didn't see any official stations reach 90. And outside of mahantango's 118 degree reading yesterday, most of us remained in the 80s as well. (my highest reading was 89.3...so close)
  13. My low was only 70. Though...the dew is down, so it does feel better this morning the past few days.
  14. Oh, I know that I'm the guilty one. Sometimes I look back and wonder what I was thinking.
  15. 26 mows for me. Why are we counting how many times we've mowed? I mean...this is not standard conversation material at the coffee station in the morning. LOL
  16. 84/73 - the sun did not last long. One thing's for sure...it's really all about the dews. 84/73 feels worse than 90/63.
  17. I just matched that number - sun is out and the temp has spiked from 77 to 85 in the past 30 minutes...
  18. I KNEW this year's heat wave was horrible! LOL
  19. Yep, I get it. And I'm not arguing with what you're saying. At the same time, the game has evolved in ways that created the mess we're in. Saturday night's Phillies game was a perfect example. It took just 2 hours to play 7 innings. It then took 1 hour and 36 minutes to play the final 3 innings. 4, yes 4 different reviews, plus 6-8 pitching changes and all of a sudden a tidy 2 hour 15 minute game became a marathon that lasted over 3.5 hours. Much of that time over the last 3 innings was reviews and pitching changes. Lots of time for anyone less than a totally devoted fan to check out.
  20. Some of us are getting really good at finding ways to miss out. Frustrating.
  21. I'm starting to worry that today will be yet another missed opportunity for rain. First area has all but completed fizzled on approach. Will we recover enough to get another shot later?
  22. Nope, I've been to games that have lasted 19 innings and was thrilled. Those who cry about extra innings aren't true fans to me. It's part of what makes baseball special. You show up at the park knowing you might be out in 2 hours or 12. Nothing will change my mind about that. (though I understand where you're coming from)
