Sorry to hear that. There was zero wind here - just 10-15 minutes of blinding rain. I guess, given what I got and how long it lasted I had 3"/hour rates.

CTP issued a HWO for the southern tier counties for strong to severe thunderstorms this afternoon, but in my forecast there's zero mention of rain.

I think there's been discussion (similar to DCA in the winter) about the airport's numbers, but apparently there were other stations in NJ above 100 as well.

@Bubbler86 - I was reading elsewhere that Newark, NJ was at or above 100 for 5 consecutive days last week which I believe is an all-time record. I didn't look to see if that was officially verified as happening and indeed a record.
