35 minutes since the last post of ANY kind in the MA thread, and 46 minutes since the last post of any kind in the NYC threads...on 2/6, that's incredible. You typically see more activity than that in July.
High here today was 32.
@Blizzard of 93 - I just mentioned to you a few days ago to keep on doing what you're doing. That's part of what this thread is about. But as @Bubbler86said this morning, it sure seems like you revolt on people who aren't donning the snow goggles. There's a valid reason for pessimism right now.
Wow. I've never experienced anything like that and I have no real interest of doing so in the future. The experience you had might have been my last flight.
That was only the 2nd time I've been to DFW. First since AT&T Stadium was built, great view of the stadiums on approach. Work crews were still working hard to plow ice off some of the taxiways.
I was coming on to post about that. One of the more unsettling approaches that I can remember. It was rough...you could definitely feel the tension in the cabin. I will say that once the pilot gor the thing down, he stuck the landing perfectly. Touchdown was smoother than DFW where the weather was ideal.
Hopefully flying home today. And hopefully the winds back down a little this evening or I'm going to have a rocky flight into MDT. Not scheduled to arrive until late evening so hopefully winds come down some. Local forecast for MDT suggests that it will...somewhat.
What impresses me the most about that forecast?
Even up on Mt. Washington, which has the worst weather conditions in the east, it will be about 60 degrees warmer on Sunday than today.
