58 and spectacular. Loving this weather! Just returned from our walk on the river trail. Passed 2 couples about our age who were wearing hats and hoodies. One guy good-naturedly asked if I was "okay" walking in a tee and shorts. LOL

50 and sunny. Nice morning for raking.

Should be interesting to follow. MU is not enthused at all about December, stating that both the SPV and MJO will be very unfavorable for local snow lovers.

Just a quick comment about my HVAC expenses...between my electric and natural gas I spend on average $150/month. That's for both and there's very little fluctuation in that amount.

Temp has dropped here from 55 at 12:30 down to 52 now. Winds strengthening out of the NW.

Cloudy and 44. Picked up .03" of rain.

Ironically, a quick glance at the station shows the temp has risen sharply up to 43, LOL

Thing is, I did not radiate well last night. Not sure what is different tonight, but I find these small variations fascinating.

Good radiational cooling here so far this evening- down to 38.

High today was 58, currently it's 40.

Mostly sunny and a mild 58 at 1:35pm.

My house faces south and is loaded with about the best windows money can buy. With lots of open sunlight it doesn't take long to warm up - once it got to 71 by noon, the air went on. Further, my temp was not in the 20s this morning. At any rate, my home is well insulated and I've upgraded just about every aspect related to heating and cooling possible. As far as wasting money...I ran my heat about 35 days total over the past year. When whatever method you're using to stay warm this winter my system will be dormant while my home is heated naturally. I'll probably spend less money on HVAC than you will.

High of 61 today, AC is humming along.

My low was just 34 here, so a 26 degree rise for me. There must have been some wild fluctuations in overnight lows this morning.

55 at 4pm. High for the day in Maytown was 56.

Quick check at home, work, and a couple of contacts all reporting temps in the 55-57 range currently. Temps have leveled over the past hour. Still well above forecast.

Humidity is down to 24% at home, dew is also 19. Current temp is 55.3

Wind sock up top is blowing (lightly) from south to north - combine that with full sun and very low humidity and it's a recipe for large temp swings.

Already up to 55 here at the work station.
