  1. Hail signature on the cell that looks to be aimed directly at Maytown. Should be fun soon. For those that are there.
  2. I had to check the radar to believe it - it's gorgeous here right now. Sunshine and some high clouds in spots.
  3. I have a vested (obviously) interest in the tropics right now, but for those of you who look at the long range modeling for our area, the GFS is banging an epic rain storm over the central 1/3rd of the state beginning at about the 10 day mark. Tropical system comes onshore down south and rides right up the spine of the Apps thereafter. Would be a prolific rain maker in PA for some.
  4. Speaking of showers, last night's GFS had a major cane striking Bermuda (direct hit) on 8/30. #Itshurricanetime arrives on 8/31 via ship...
  5. He hasn't commented, but in his morning forecast he has a 30% chance of an "isolated shower" for Saturday.
  6. MU says "okay bubbler, you win again" @MUweather The radar may be quiet this morning, but a disturbance rotating southward through PA will cause it to “light up” with scattered showers and #thunderstorms between 3-10 p.m. Locally heavy downpours, lightning, and wind gusts up to 40 mph will be the main threats.
  7. CTP raised my POP's from 20% to 70% but are still calling for less than a tenth of an inch. I feel like I say this every week, but kudos once again to @Bubbler86 for championing the rain parade for today.
  8. 62 for the low here, which is the 3rd day in a row for that number. Useless weather info but it's not often that you have the same high or low temp 3 days in a row. Partly sunny with a high cloud deck and 65 now.
  9. It indeed is an issue - I'll be in the Atlantic heading to Bermuda at that time. But, I knew why you posted that and for who and I knew it had nothing to do with me. LOL
  10. I can answer that - a lot of rain in the open waters of the Atlantic between the east coast and Bermuda.
  11. You could very well be right, and you know more about your team than I do - I just look at reality...they're 5 games out in mid August. That's not much to make up.
  12. Best post of the day. Cannot wait for sunsets before dinner.
  13. I know it's "trendy" to dismiss the Red Sox but they're very much alive for the WC. One streak and they're right in the thick of it. And they're capable of doing that.
  14. Should have a noon reading in the 80s...currently it's 79.3
  15. Yeah, I know that. I was just poking fun at the stadium that is despised by so many for so many reasons...I didn't realize until today that it was located in 3 different towns. LOL
  16. If you look up Fed Ex Field, Wikipedia lists one town for the stadium, another town for the parking lot, and then a 3rd town when you actually open the article and read about where the stadium is located. Stadium address: North Englewood MD Parking lot: Landover MD Stadium location: Summerfield MD
  17. Imagine going to Fed Ex Fie... Wait...no one actually goes to games in... Where is that stadium actually located? I pass it on 95 south in the northern suburbs.
  18. They are 2-4 since "my post" - but they've already won 8 more games than they did all of last year, and it's the middle of August. Remarkable.
  19. @MUweather Light, northeasterly winds will continue to filter drier air into southern PA today. As a result, we’ll see a partly sunny Tuesday with low humidity & highs in the low-to-mid 80s areawide. Quite a nice change from Monday’s clouds, morning rain, & cool conditions (western areas). There's very little in the way of cloud cover here at work at least. Perfect 10 kind of day.
  20. Across the league for that matter. Nothing like a 1pm kick at Lambeau with temps in the 90s.
  21. Thanks for sharing that - interesting how much change is projected in western PA compared to some of the eastern counties. Looks like the steel will be blazing.
