    Not to be overly critical, merely an observation...forecasts for here last night were off a bit. Locally I saw forecasts of temps in the mid to high 50s, when I left for work this morning it was 41. Not really close to what I was expecting.

    Picked up .38" of rain today. I still have yet to see snow on the ground this season. Maytown picked up 1" several weeks ago while I was at work, where there was nothing on the ground. By the time I got home that evening...Maytown was green.

    It's currently 56 here at work - 53 in Maytown. 55 at LNS.

    Sends the center of low pressure along or even north of the turnpike - not a great track for us if it verified.

    Oh I agree totally and say as much often. However, we're still moving forward towards peak climo for snow, which was my point here.

    Never made it to 50 here...pretty much has rained all afternoon. 49 was the high in Maytown. (Only .04" of rain has fallen)

    Who in this thread thinks like this? I'm not reading any of that. My weather memory is pretty good- believe me, I remember some very lean snow years back in the 70s and 80s.

    I sort of see it...winter weather (cold, wintry precip) only lasts a few months and it can be discouraging to not have winter weather in the winter. Also, it can't snow when the temp is 60 like it could if it was 20. But to your point, 60 degree weather in January was never offensive - I've just moved on from being frustrated to enjoying these days for what they are...nice days.

    This was my way of thinking up until a couple of years ago. I got to the point where if it's not going to snow it might as well be enjoyable to be outside.

    I was wrong again...60 here right now. If it's not going to snow, I'll take this weather every day. Glorious weather to walk along the river.

    It's up to 57 here, which is still a few degrees above the forecast high. Not sure we'll make it to 60...that's impressive.

    Forever it seems. Outside of the incredible January 2016 storm, this month seems to have lacked significant snow for a long time.
