  1. Me too. I do think it will snow next week, I feel about as comfortable with that as I could be 5 days out. I feel far less confident in us getting a moderate to heavy snowfall. It's just too early in the game and there's plenty of ways for this to regress. Years and years of colossal fails have jaded both of us. It's not a sure thing until it's piling up.
  2. To clarify...my "like" to your post was the overall theme about the wintry conditions and not specific to you nearly falling. I hope you understood that.
  3. Still only 32.5 at home. Very, very slow climb so far.
  4. I just shared this with my wife and she's not really feelin... Oh, right, you're referring to the weather.
  5. All of this nonsense the past 2 days about pants. What about those of us who only wear shorts?
  6. Legit heavy rain here at work as this last band blows through. Sounds like a summer storm on the roof.
  7. What do we need for Saturday's event to potentially trend better? I've been so focused on this morning and next Tuesday and have not looked at the weekend at all.
  8. Yes indeed, just made it past the official threshold - 32.2 in Maytown.
  9. I thought the roads this morning were 100% better than Monday morning. I had zero issues earlier.
  10. I was up when it started. I did not see any snow at all. Straight up sleet, some of which fell moderately. Temp fell from 32.7 at onset down to a low of 30.3. Currently it's 31.6. Going with .3" of accumulation. Temp rise is agonizingly slow - only up .4 degrees over the past 2.5 hours.
  11. If Elliott is correct you will have double to triple the amount of freezing rain compared to me.
  12. If I nor my family had to be out in it, sign me up as well. 100%.
  13. Just a bit of a temperature gradient with the above storm - honestly this is kind of wild in Virginia:
  14. MU downgrading tonight's system to .01" to .10" of ice accretion. Yesterday it was up to .15". Still forecasting a trace to 2" of sleet prior to that.
  15. Not a fan of THIS particular output. Hate riding the southern edge. I liked the output with purples well down into central VA much better than this.
  16. You need to set this guy straight! @MUweather There appears to be a band of snow extending from northern DE through the southern-tier counties of PA, but it’s all virga (precip that evaporates before reaching the ground) due to dry air in the low-levels of the atmosphere. It’s why I haven’t mentioned precip till this eve.
  17. @anotherman - not sure if you saw this, but it's a pretty cool story: https://6abc.com/post/daddy-did-save-sister-young-philadelphia-plane-crash-victim-asks-waking-hospital/15864306/
  18. Low of 29 which is 4 above forecast. We'll see if that matters tonight.
  19. Hot off the press...Elliott's newly minted discussion. Hint: He ends it with 2 words of advice, the first of which is "Buckle"... https://www.millersville.edu/weathercenter/forecasts/weather-discussion.php
  20. Coating to 2" of sleet followed by up to .15" of freezing rain. (Elliott)
  21. Can't post it right now but wow...Elliott is going big time in emphasizing a major impact winter storm tomorrow night. He's telling people to stay off the roads, period. (unless for emergencies and absolute required travel)
