  1. That's exactly what I'm doing - LIT to DFW and then DFW to MDT.
  2. Did you drive or take the cog railway? Or...did you hike?
  3. Hopefully flying home today. And hopefully the winds back down a little this evening or I'm going to have a rocky flight into MDT. Not scheduled to arrive until late evening so hopefully winds come down some. Local forecast for MDT suggests that it will...somewhat.
  4. What impresses me the most about that forecast? Even up on Mt. Washington, which has the worst weather conditions in the east, it will be about 60 degrees warmer on Sunday than today.
  5. Snow over my house with the low over Jamestown NY. Makes sense.
  6. Over the past couple of days there have been enough models during enough model cycles that want to raise my hope level up a few notches...and then I read this from MU today - I'd honestly love for this to be wrong...but he sure is holding steady and seems rather...emphatic: #PunxsutawneyPhil saw his shadow this morning & predicted 6 more weeks of #WINTER, but I certainly don't agree with his forecast. All signs point toward above-avg temps, in aggregate, & little snow during #February2023.
  7. Yeah, I hate to see early vegetation. And it seems like the more that I've thrown myself into gardening the more aware of it I've become. If we get too warm for a few days over the next few weeks... #itsmowingtimeagain
  8. I agree with this - never did I think I would until the past few years. I'm now thoroughly enjoying AN temperatures if it isn't going to snow. Much nicer to get out and walk around in.
  9. Pre-nooner cloudy and 35. Drip, drip, drip. First time it's cracked 30 let alone freezing since 4pm Monday.
  10. Final and perhaps strongest wave has just arrived as all sleet here - looking to add to my accumulations overnight.
  11. Wait a sec...I thought that Blizz was already crowned as Bastardi earlier today...
  12. Winter in Arkansas this morning - excuse the dumpster. I'm the only one here who raises their wipers. No one from around here has learned this technique apparently. By the way, that's 100% sleet from yesterday's thundersleet storm.
  13. Easily my least favorite season. I don't like severe and I'm depressed that winter's over and is once again a long way off, so weatherwise...meh. I do love to garden so there's that.
  14. Reverse phycology...easy to see through, but it gave me a good laugh.
  15. MU's latest discussion: (I'll leave any personal commentary out for this one) https://www.millersville.edu/weathercenter/forecasts/weather-discussion.php
  16. My wife reports nothing, at least no evidence of snow in Maytown. Also, and this might get lost because of how insignificant last night's "storm" was, but the Euro's late snow salvo failed us. Just noting that.
  17. Good deal. Didn't seem like anything recordable fell north of the M/D line.
  18. We all want snow Blizz...we really do. At least I think all of us are snow lovers. However, the weather will be the weather. And this is a weather forum...all types of weather should be open for free discussion. If this was a record or near record snowy winter...or even just a cold winter, believe me, we'd be talking about it. But it's not. It's been very warm with very little snow. So, as weather enthusiasts, that's what we have to talk about. I won't put others accountable for their posts, but I'll freely share my thoughts - I'm not going to stop talking about whatever weather happens to be occurring. And if we torch the next few weeks, I'm going to talk about it. And if we're challenging records, I'm going to embrace it. I love extreme weather...sure, I'd rather it be extreme on the cold and snowy side and will celebrate WHEN that happens. Rain, snow, warmth, cold, etc...it's all weather. Go back in the thread to the few days surrounding Christmas. There were a TON of posts "celebrating" the cold snap. Again, not speaking for others but the posts spoke for themselves. Please, keep on hunting the next snow...you are free and encouraged to do so. Meanwhile, I'll continue to discuss the weather we're dealing with now. And I'm going to enjoy doing so.
  19. It'll be interesting to see if MU finished #2 or #3 all time.
