    My high was just 27 yesterday. It's 31 here now - 96 straight hours (exactly 4 days) of sub-freezing temps that is about to end.

    83 consecutive hours below freezing here. Should end up just short of 100, but still impressive here in the lowlands.

    I have 5 kitties...one less than what I had a month ago. It is brutal, and I am so very sorry.

    Back on Thursday, CTP was calling for 21 on Saturday and 20 on Sunday. Over the past couple of days they kept lowering the temp for yesterday and raising it for today.

    Hmm. My high was 26, forecast high was 28. Currently it's 22.

    Very impressive- high today was 13.5, currently it's 12.9. I believe that is record shattering cold. Though - Christmas eve 1983 was a little colder during the afternoon hours than today was. I left work at 5pm and it was 3 degrees after being in the upper 20s earlier in the morning. Both air masses were/are historic, though the 1983 outbreak featured subzero temps here that this outbreak will not.

    Yes indeed. Low was 3.7 here - it was 5 on the button at 9pm last evening so not much of a drop thereafter.

    6.8 here - lowest temp on this weather station, installed in 2020.

    Down to 11.5 - exactly 43 degrees down from the daily high at 2:37am.

    KBUF is reporting zero visibility on their latest observations. Epic winter continues up there, especially in the southtowns.

    I was dispatched by my dear wife to make a trip to Giant. It was madness. Just when I was up next at the checkout, the power went out. It came right back on, but it still triggered an additional 5 minute wait for the registers to reboot. I will also add that on my drive home, the roads are already 50-75% dry. I don't foresee to many icing issues.

    My only amateur thought on the front - it's 38.6 here. Down 16 degrees since 3am. So if the front hasn't cleared here, something has caused a rather large temp drop already.

    Moderate rain has arrived and brought with it the anticipated spike in temps - up 5 degrees over the past 30 minutes to 41 now.
