  1. It's amazing - I don't know what they're going to do with all of the snow in town. They've been trucking it out for weeks as the town is clogged, and that was before 10 feet of new snow that they're in the middle of receiving now. There is already over 50 inches of water content in the snowpack on the mountain. (base is 200-268" and growing) Think about that. Hopefully the Sierra has a slow melt later this spring or it's going to get ugly in the valleys.
  2. Welcome back friend! Completely agree about the weekend though I might be even more bearish than you. Mammoth is under a Blizzard Warning. 5 feet of new snow, 4-5 feet more expected by Wednesday. In town they'll be over 500" and well over 600" on the hill. Did we pick a great year to head west! They expect to be skiing into August now.
  3. I was scratching my leg a few days ago and it dawned on me after the fact that it was mosquito bite. On like February 21st. Ridiculous.
  4. It really is. Next few weeks could be a lot of fun. You got your seatbelt ready to latch?
  5. Would you say that this time frame is a little early in the pattern? I was thinking the following week or two might be a better chance as the pattern starts to break down. Next weekend still seems precarious to me as it will take perfect timing to avoid either suppression or a cutter.
  6. I told @Bubbler86 that I thought we'd have to wait until the following week as I think the pattern is better for us in the middle of the month. Maybe we get lucky with this one and score again the following week?
  7. Today "disappointed" locally - had a few flurries for 3-4 minutes and that was that. Sunny and 37 now.
  8. Cloudy and 31. Radar doesn't look super inspiring but it's not like a nor'easter is moving in. LOL
  9. MU's Elliott is on the snow train for tomorrow - snow showers likely during the midday hours (Lanco)
  10. Jury is out whether or not we'll see any snow in March but it's becoming quite likely that it will be cold...
  11. But you are right...as depicted it's a deep storm with a shit ton of moisture.
  12. I was just going to mention that Randy's PBP in the MA thread matched what I saw...I think that's good.
  13. Next weekend looks like a lot of snow in northern PA and a LOT of rain down here - looks like it end with a few/several hours of snow as the system moves off the coast. That was at a quick-ish glance that I could see on Pivotal.
  14. Now you're baiting me to talk sports. I was ready to give a dissertation on "The Kid" Gary Carter...but I must refrain. LOL
  15. Right now CTP has upper 30s with a chance of light rain/snow for here. I'd imagine some places with elevation might have a nice little wintry scene tomorrow.
  16. What's interesting is that they have a chance of snow in my forecast for tomorrow, but nothing but plain rain on Monday.
  17. Doesn't sound like it - here is the text from their Hazardous Outlook from this morning: (there isn't even a mention of anything tomorrow) A potent upper level disturbance and wave of low pressure at the surface will move out of the midwest and likely spread a period of snow or mixed precipitation across the region Monday afternoon and night with potentially some impacts to travel.
  18. Today's high here in Maytown will be 70, which was the temp at 12:01am. Back to back 70 degree days and we earned it - temp last evening fell to 62 by 8pm, then shot back up to 70 just before midnight in advance of the cold front. Currently it's sunny, windy, and 42.
  19. One lonely 50s on the current map - barely visible at the bottom:
  20. After the past few years of cutteramas, we're overdue for a swing and a miss south...
