  1. I am VERY close to the airpark - you're new around here, we call it Maytown Intertownship Airport. Or, MIA (missing in action) for short. I got the 447' mark from somewhere online years ago. Bad data. I hate bad data. No data is better than bad data. I guess I need to spot check everything I post from now on.
  2. My wife and I received communication stating that for now, all is well but there are many structures that have either failed or in danger of doing so. The town really, really needs the snow guns to shut off but uh...that's not happening: https://www.mammothmountain.com/on-the-mountain/mammoth-webcam/the-village
  3. It is something that's a definite concern/consideration. I still like it enough to mow 60 times a year.
  4. The next major winter storm is JUST arriving in Mammoth now - expecting another 1 to 2 feet in town today with 3' on the hill: https://www.mammothmountain.com/on-the-mountain/mammoth-webcam/the-village Yet another moisture loaded storm is expected one week from today. Things are slowly winding down, but my goodness...
  5. Hey, that's what I have as well. I have the same issues with thick, wet grass which is one reason why I like to stay on top of it.
  6. Yes...last weekend of the month. Admittedly, I sort of rushed that one. When I mowed this past weekend, there were others mowing in the 'hood. Grass legit needed cut.
  7. Yes sir, 469' is where I'm at. Maytown is at 447' and I sit at about the highest point in the immediate area.
  8. Anyone else mow yet? I mowed for the 2nd time on Sunday - things are green and growing in Maytown and have been for some time now.
  9. And after all of that, I'm now colder than you. 31 here currently.
  10. My temp dropped from 39 to 29 between 2am and 3am! 27 was my low. Agree 100% with you - the wild differences in temps over such short distances last night was fascinating.
  11. Feels like a low to mid 30s night. I'll let you know in 8-9 hours.
  12. I'm not even sure I get down to freezing...still 42.2 here.
  13. I saw this post and thought back to when I was a kid in the 1970s when our TV screen looked something like this at midnight. LOL
  14. It's getting dry, which is why I was celebrating rainfall over the past few weeks (okay, months) while most were simply disappointed that it wasn't snowing. Snow or not, we need the moisture.
  15. Sunny and 42 in Maytown. Your snowpack must be locking in the cold!
  16. Today's departure from normal for my location was -14 (high temp)
  17. Good point. It is quite chilly today. Upgrade to a medium weight sweatshirt fo our river walk.
