  1. 81.4 at 1:30pm - looking likely it will be about 85 today...I think a run at 90 is becoming probable tomorrow and perhaps on Friday.
  2. Walking across campus this morning here at work - it "looks" like a summer sky. It "feels" like summer. Hard to believe we're not to the midpoint of April. After years of watching our kids play high school spring sports on cloudy, windy 45-55 degree days...this is too much summer too soon.
  3. Saw a mention that to date, the US is running ahead of the all-time tornado count for a year. The article continued that with a relatively calm week ahead across the country, we'll drop back below the record pace.
  4. Never had hot food at a DQ. Not sure I've even been to a DQ that sells hot food!
  5. ...every great croquet game is preceded by a freshly cut lawn!
  6. Actually, today's normal high of 59 comes in the midst of a several day period where the normal high is 60. It was 60 on Friday and Saturday and returns to 60 tomorrow.
  7. Fake drinker Jon - you should be downing that bad boy at once and then disposing the can in your neighbor's yard.
  8. Thanks for calling this out - those numbers are today's normals at MU. Today's historical average low of 36 is a degree lower than the previous several days. I think the normal high of 59 is the same over a 4-5 day stretch that ends tomorrow - Wednesday's average high at MU climbs to 60.
  9. Is that your cat? It looks remarkably like one of my 5. (Arnold!)
  10. 34 here this morning, which is just 2 degrees below normal. Our normal high for the date is 59, so today will likely end up AN for the day. Again, just speaking for my local area. I'm enjoying these chilly mornings before they're a distant memory.
  11. Tough to mow with 6" of snow still on the ground.
  12. I have mowed 6 times. No rain but grass is still going crazy for now.
  13. Talking roads - drive the Parks Highway in Alaska. Ain't nothing in the lower 48 that compares.
  14. Nice 27 degree spike this morning - sunny and 56 approaching noon on this beautiful Easter Sunday.
  15. Another aspect of the dry weather - low dews allowing for plummeting temps as long as skies are clear and winds are light.
  16. Could be a good run at it, especially in traditional warmer spots.
  17. MDT was sitting at 48 on their last hourly observation. Down to 42 here now. CTP raised my forecast low from 29 to 33 but with skies clearing we should get to or just below freezing.
