  1. Looks like a partially melted Hershey Kiss down south with the tassel extending up west of the 95 corridor.
  2. Interesting info just released from Elliott: I plotted Millersville's decadal snowfall from the 1930s-2010s, & the results were interesting! The least-snowy decade (1950s) was followed by the snowiest decade (1960s), & snowfall has increased since the 1980s despite a warmer climate. Not a good start to the 2020s though..
  3. Sunny and 52 here as well. (forecast high for the day was 50)
  4. I loved Eric's videos the day before a big storm...legendary stuff!
  5. And to Bubbler's point - Elliott has been exceptional ever since he took over from Horst. When Eric retired I wondered what would happen to our forecasts with the new guy in town - Elliott has more than proven himself. Warminsta or not.
  6. Interesting conversation I missed last night. Everything that was posted were certainly valid thoughts/opinions. I don't have much to add other than I find it "interesting" the number of degreed mets who are NOT fans of cold and snowy winter. I'll speak for myself and say that in the past I've assumed that being a snow hound is what drives people to become mets. Clearly, some are not. Joe Lundberg is another great example - he used to appear on Weather World and I used to hear him on radio stations here in Lanco as well as a regular blogger on Accuweather's site. Without a doubt one of the best that I ever heard...he despised wintry weather and said as much often. I have no problem with mets expressing their love/disdain for the type of weather they most or least enjoy. Honestly...when Joe Lundberg went big on snow for this area, that's when I'd get excited. Think about it - would you rather have an admitted snow hound (Bastardi) go all in on an impending snowstorm or would you rather have that come from someone who doesn't like it to begin with? I'll take the latter for $1000.
  7. I honestly wonder how much of that is actual snow depth on the ground though.
  8. Quite a volley going on in here - I thought it was advantage HR guy until Atomix stopped by and dropped a deuce.
  9. 12z GFS - shockingly, it lost the snow for the weekend! (the storm still exists but is suppressed further south)
  10. I think for me I easily reach 50 Thursday and Friday - would not surprise me if Friday ends up a couple of degrees warmer than Thursday. CTP has me at 56 both days as of now. Friday might be a day where there's a pretty big disparity between our temps
  11. I was out checking all of the daffodils that have been growing - hard to tell if and to what degree they were affected overnight. 31 here currently.
  12. Impressive that it was 5 degrees colder right down the road from me. Where is MJ's temp recorded?
  13. Only got down to 24 in the historic district, but the frost was some of the heaviest of the season. It's a legendary winter when during February we're discussing the amount of frost in the morning.
  14. And by train...t minus 97 days for me. Glad to see that my town had some "snow showers" over the weekend that dropped a fresh 18"...season total is now at 401". Current snow depth in Mammoth Lakes:
  15. @anotherman- pretty cool that the Mark guy tweeted directly at your americanwx avatar picture!
  16. I think in this discussion he did when he was referencing computer models showing a snowstorm for this weekend.
  17. I was thinking of what you had just posted when reading MU's comments because what the Euro did at 12z today seemed like the "10% thread the needle chance" that he was referring to for this weekend.
  18. MU's take: (first tweet from today, discussion was posted last evening) The chances for snow across southeastern PA are virtually "nil" for the foreseeable future. In fact, a 70-degree day has a better chance of occurring than accumulating snow. For an in-depth explanation as to why, read my latest SWD (written last evening): https://www.millersville.edu/weathercenter/forecasts/weather-discussion.php
  19. That image is enough to make a grown man weep...just no cold air available to what otherwise is a map worth salivating over.
  20. Sure have. And just a few years ago we scored big time on the first day of Spring. I ain't calling nothing over yet.
  21. I told you point blank back in October that you f'd our winter over when you were wishing for Halloween snow. This is ALL on you! LOL!
