This storm is one of the fuzziest in my mind of all the big ones going back to 1978. I remember it snowing all day Sunday, I remember that it seemed like it was a very long duration event, and I remember that the Hershey Bears had a home game on Sunday night that they decided to play. I think there was only 200 or so at the Giant Center. (I had season tickets at the time and did NOT make the trek up 743 to Chocolatetown, LOL) Sadly, nothing JB says anymore comes as a surprise. Though...I thought it was interesting that he of all people pulled the plug on winter.

Light rain and 58 currently. So far, .42" of rain has fallen for the event, .12" since midnight.

Tucson - I saw they had snow yesterday morning. Isn't Tucson like really far south in AZ?

MU officially hit 80 on 2/21/2018. One month later...17" of snow fell.

No one posted the 12z GFS...and for good reason. It's pretty much void of any wintry weather through 3/4. There are several cutters to look forward to, however.

We lost the biggest snow hound in the world yesterday - Bastardi essentially said good night and a fond farewell to winter, and he was basing that on the MJO regressing back into 6 in early March. It's really bad when we lose JB.

LOL - after my Roundtop comments, I check their website and find out they're closed today to "preserve the snowpack for the holiday weekend."

Good list - hard for me to come up with anything better or even what you have in a different order. I guess one could say that the ski pass for those who go to Roundtop MIGHT be a little lower...I only say that as it has gotten just cold enough at just the right times that they've been able to keep 65-75% of their trails open since late December. They've done better than the other 2 local resorts and I think mostly because almost all of their terrain receives minimal sun in January and February. Caveat is that they haven't been able to open the far left expert trails the entire season.

Same here - forecast low was 46, got down to 46.

Never made it to 70 in Maytown - 69 was the high, currently down to 67.

I understand completely. I would much prefer wintry weather, but if it's not to be, I'm going to enjoy what we have. Isn't that what JB always says?

68 here - leaving work early to go home, pick up my wife, head for the trail and try and tolerate this awful weather we're suffering through today. It's a thankless duty but I'm stepping up and putting myself out there.
