  1. Hopefully today doesn't set a tone for the remainder of spring - not a drop of rain fell here since the overnight hours. It never threatened to rain and not once did it get windy. (which was fine)
  2. It's been breezy here but it was windier on Sunday than this. It's almost calm right now.
  3. Yes. As you mentioned earlier...radar doesn't look that great, especially for the southern tier.
  4. MU throwing down the dagger! Unless the persistent trough, or dip in the Jet Stream, over the West relaxes/disappears in March, I’m not optimistic for snow in southeastern PA. We’ll need a “thread-the-needle” event to occur overnight for any meaningful accumulation. The hype for March may fall flat
  5. Sure does! The NWS office in the Twin Cities is already heralding this as a Top 5 all time storm up there.
  6. I did not realize that about the timing of the rain - I drove home at 5pm through a few (literally) sprinkles, but we did not have any measurable precip until after midnight.
  7. I've thought about doing some research on black ice. It has seemed to me for years that black ice forms or doesn't form in response to what the weather has been over the previous 24-48 hours. I recall some mornings when the air temp was 34-35 and yet there was nasty black ice due to how cold the ground was from a recent cold snap. Conversely, if the weather has been warm, an air temp of 32 might not have led to black ice since the ground temp would have been warmer. It's one of the those little weather phenomena's that I think about each winter when we have a black ice issue. This is the first winter that I can recall without a single instance of black ice.
  8. I did a double take reading this - I thought you moved and were referring to this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Washington_Bridge
  9. .15" of rain since midnight. Currently it's 37 with dense fog.

  11. Pretty good job by the HRRR today - was at 63 two hours ago and hasn't eclipsed that mark since. It's 62.6 right now.
  12. Euro has no precip in PA on Saturday. Some rain in Hampton Roads and a few snow showers in the 'Dacks.
  13. Yeah, I don't see any precip on the Euro within a couple of hundred miles on Saturday. Edit: that's only through 7am Saturday. Let the run play out, HR guy...
  14. Quite possibly. Still holding out home for some wet snow in March at some point...time for some good 'ole fashioned "mashed poTATUMs" that quickly melt.
  15. Wednesday through Friday projected highs for Lanco: 38, 75, 40. Not often you see 2 dramatic swings in succession like that.
  16. Yesterday, temps were rising quickly at this time of day only for a quick plateau and step backwards by 2pm. It'll be interesting to see how things go over the next 2-3 hours. The sun is helping promote a quick spike right now.
  17. That's what I'm kinda afraid of... Though - every cool day in May is one less day to contend with heat, so I'm okay with that.
