  1. CTP mentioned I believe that essentially the southern tier stands the best (maybe only) chance at seeing rain overnight. Let's hope that it's a Franklin Flyer.
  2. Today was a splendid summer day. This week could feature 7 consecutive days with below normal highs. I'll take that in a New York minute while the climate data is being scoured.
  3. It is indeed gorgeous. Was going to start a fire but a little too breezy.
  4. See, it's "Dierks" and not "Dirk" - you need to understand that the entire world doesn't revolve around Nowitzski.
  5. Some serious winds here - it takes a lot of wind to impress me but it is howling right now. Oh, and no rain.
  6. I get called a lot of things...most are not repeatable working in HR. One thing that I'm definitely not is normal. LOL
  7. Northern and central Maryland is getting smoked. Lots of warnings up.
  8. Nope, and a lot of the discreet cells popping in advance of the line are south and east of most of us.
  9. Severe Thunderstorm Watch coming soon - 80% likely.
  10. I was coming here to say the same - temp is really taking off now. 89/73 currently. Looking at recent satellite imagery suggests we make a run at 93-95 at this point. Fueling...
  11. I'm going to very respectfully disagree- call me a weenie but I'm putting my chips in on some good storms later on. Only caveat is...I don't gamble and don't have chips to put in.
  12. 86/73 here at 1:15. Working outside today is a challenge. Glad it's not hotter.
  13. That is an incredibly sad depiction. And it also perfectly follows the seasonal norm - almost everyone gets wet from that except for the one that needs it most.
  14. Finished yesterday with .45" of rain. @Mount Joy Snowman - decisive W for you yesterday.
  15. Really hope that line of rain moving east holds together and hits the Rou'ville. At least the southern part of the line is healthy looking.
  16. Even down this far the lightning show is quite impressive.
  17. Sounds like a lot of damage in northern Maryland this evening. I sincerely hope EJ's home and car didn't sustain too much damage.
  18. It's just uncanny how many close misses you've had. Still under a band of stratifiform rain here. Approaching a half inch for the day. Wish it was a different story. Truly.
