  1. @Mount Joy Snowman That there is the Maytown UN-bullseye.
  2. It has been storming literally for over 3 hours straight in southern Lanco - I've been watching it here from the office. It starts to decay/move NE and quickly flares back up again. Quarryville and environs is getting a beat down. Nothing of home of course, like you mentioned.
  3. Harrisburg/west shore/east shore certainly seems to have repeatedly been the epicenter of activity since the pattern changed.
  4. Indeed! Oh to be in one of the open air cars right now...
  5. There was an impressive hail core in that storm, that did diminish but the central/east/southern part of the county has been rocked for a good while now.
  6. Some light rain here at work on the fringe of one of those 2 Lanco cells.
  7. Ground zero on that exact image/time stamp is Maytown - toss it.
  8. Exactly, and that very issue was Eric Horst's biggest public gripe for years. This is a huge win for this area. @Jns2183 - not sure when it will be operational @candersonI don't have the strength specifics. I shared pretty much what they posted.
  9. This is kind of a really big deal - there has forever been a gap in radar coverage in Lanco, as we fall in the middle of State College, Mount Holly, and Sterling's coverage areas. The gap is about to be filled! Millersville University @millersvilleu Today, we’re installing a @climavision X-band weather surveillance radar on campus! The new radar will cover the area between the 3 closest @NWS radars in State College, Mt. Holly, N.J. & Sterling, Va. Stay tuned for more photos! @MUweather
  10. .39" of beautiful rain. No wind, no hail, very little lightning and thunder. We just had a very nice...rain.
  11. That storm is now weakening over York County. Big storm north of me which doesn't help my cause.
  12. Welcome to Itstrainingtime 2023: Absolute #SevereWeather chaos in the Lehigh Valley right now. Southeastern PA and most of the Lower Susquehanna Valley are currently being spared, but more storms currently firing up across western PA should impact the region between 5-9 PM. Storms are beginning to “train,” or move repeatedly, over the same locations in the Lehigh Valley. As a result, the flash #flooding threat is ramping up quickly, and some smaller streams and creeks could soon overflow their banks.
  13. I haven't had a spotter since 45 years ago when I inadvertently got on the school high bars...
  14. MU gettin' all wound up: BOOM goes the dynamite! Storms are exploding across eastern PA and producing hail, locally damaging winds, frequent lightning and torrential downpours. Severe T’storm Warnings extend from northeastern Lebanon County into the Lehigh Valley.
  15. Will this activity rob significant convection chances for later?
  16. That thing north of Lebanon exploded out of nowhere.
  17. That is missing my casa now by about 1.5 miles. The cell north of Lebanon is the granddaddy currently.
  18. Special Weather Statement just went up for that cell - hey, another Harrisburg jackpot.
  19. I was thinking about that when I was reading MU's thoughts - originally it seemed like the "prime time" for us was this afternoon, but he extended the active weather until 10pm this evening.
  20. Bust calls have commenced from our southern neighbors.
  21. Yes sir...meanwhile, a detailed update from MU moments ago: (1/3) A vigorous, upper-level disturbance over the Great Lakes region and potent, surface cold front will combine to trigger showers and scattered severe thunderstorms across northern MD and central/southeastern PA between ~2-10 PM today.. (2/3) The warm, humid & highly unstable air mass ahead of the front will support locally damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph, large hail, isolated tornadoes & flooding of low-lying/poor-drainage areas. Partial sunshine is already fueling the instability, & dewpoints are near 70°F.. (3/3) Tree, powerline & roof damage are likely in the hardest-hit locations, & large hail could damage roofs & vehicles. A Flood Watch is in effect for eastern PA. If a #SEVERETHUNDERSTORMWARNING or #TORNADOWARNING is issued, seek shelter in an interior room/basement immediately!
