  1. @Mount Joy Snowman - as promised, an open challenge to you: @sauss06 and I completed the heavy load for the 2023 PSU football season. We "suffered" through all kinds of inclement weather on Saturday/Saturday night and brought home with us a rousing W. Someone had to do it...we were willing, able, and successful. And you're welcome for keeping the BCS playoff hopes alive... And now, Snowman, it's up to you. The next game looms just 5 days away in Evanston. The current forecast is for hazing, I mean sunny skies with temps in the low 70s. Pretty much a spectacular fall day in the Windy City 'burbs. Do not f*ck this up! It's going to be a great high school atmosphere, an early kick, and this game has letdown written all over it. Light a fire in their rumps and get us a win. That's your mission...a win. A solid, convincing win. Don't come home without it. We got UMASS lurking and we must have this one!
  2. My highest wind gust was 27 mph. LNS had several gusts to 30. Underperformed here.
  3. I got home at 2:30 this morning. Finished with 1.14" yesterday and am now at 1.02 for today. 2.16" and counting. Rain also seems to be more tropical in nature and seems to be "accumulating" efficiently. Stay tuned tomorrow for my recap of last night as well as a personal challenge to you!
  4. Just got one last update from my wife before heading into the stadium - she says it hasn't rained a drop in 5 hours. Still .97" in the bucket. She's wondering what happened to the storm I was talking about for days. Okay...We Are!!!
  5. Wife says cloudy at home with .97" - I feel like this will overperform rain-wise.
  6. 2 updates from my wife at home: .41" of rain has fallen - "it's really coming down" she said... Wind speed is 5 mph. Should be quite accurate given the direction.
  7. Huge comeback immediately followed by a gut wrenching loss.
  8. Yes it is, mentioned it above but it's already gusting well into the 20s.
  9. Yep - I just think winds in the 40+mph is a stretch. Caveat...I have no idea. LOL
  10. I agree - CTP mentioned that top gusts might cap out at 30mph, and I feel like with coastal storms the wind often underperforms. I don't know how to feel about rainfall but I would think you'd do as well as anyone. Then again - it's actually pretty windy here already. LOL
  11. @Bubbler86 - it looks quite windy down there already. Also seeing some sand on the boardwalk this morning.
  12. In the Tropical thread our good friend Roger has SEPA getting 6-10" out of this. God bless Roger. We've got our very own JB in our own forum.
  13. Yep, for sure. I just had to chuckle when I saw the map and had flashbacks to last winter - seems like I saw that type of map often. (hazards everywhere but the LSV)
  14. As far as general hazards/warnings go, looks like we're already primed for winter down this way:
  15. Nice veil of clouds approaching from the SE this morning - also imbedded are some CU towers. Not a sky seen often around here.
