    Totally agree - most forecasts that I saw was for a very hot July and August. Last week was undoubtedly humid, not overly hot and not atypical for summer.

    I honestly feel different after July 4th - I feel like there's light at the end of the heat tunnel. September heat messes me up...on one hand, it's frustrating when it's hot and it should be starting to cool off. On the other hand, there's a level of satisfaction knowing that it won't last long.

    D1 actually pokes right up to and ends at Maytown. I did not realize how dry areas like central and western Cumberland county has been - I thought it was confined to south of the 'pike but I guess not. Thanks as always for sharing.

    80 in Maytown. When it's 80 before 10, great likelihood of 90s on that day. Today I reached it at 9am.

    I mentioned late last week, my yard had turned brown...and it took 2-3 days for it to happen. Amazing how quickly it happens this time of year. I watered everything well on Tuesday evening...I got home from work last evening and my wife was going on about how dried out the veggies were already.

    CTP still has a HWO for heavy rain possibilities tonight - though they dropped you and me from "likely" rain down to "chance" of rain...Harrisburg on N&W is still looking good though.

    Just tickled the 90.0 mark for all of one minute. 89.5 currently. I have a hard time calling it a 90 degree day when the first digit isn't a 9.

    Your 30+ year was my 49 day year. 85 here now - temp rise has slowed down. Thinking it's a low 90s day here.

    No 90 degree readings approaching mid July? Yeah, that doesn't happen every year.

    83 at 10:45 - today should be day #10 this year at or above 90. A LONG way to go to few years ago when my final number was 49 days. Mow #19 was accomplished last evening.

    To me, the most important thing is avoiding a westerly wind component on the beach. Beach flies are horrible with west winds. Give me southerly or easterly breezes and I don't care what the air temp is. To a point.
