Unless we get whiffed with rainfall later this week, I agree 100%. I'll be mowing on Wednesday this week for sure. -

Right? I mowed on both Thursday and again yesterday. My grass is very green, very healthy, and growing very fast. (that will slow this week but I'm certainly not finished yet) I'm at 30 mows currently. -

Not too far away from some decent rainfall - and equally not too far away from rather trivial amounts: -

Watching college football yesterday and seeing temps in the mid 90s out in Lincoln is crazy. Lots of big time heat lurking. -

NYC just recorded over 1" of rain for consecutive hours for the 4th time in the record books. Central Park was just under 5" at 11am. With a lot more to come. -

Sort of reminds me of this: (though not as painful, obviously) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/December_2010_North_American_blizzard -

If the 12z NAM is right, parts of NYC metro will approach 1' of rain today. -

It seems like forever since we've had a damp, drizzly morning. Welcome back! -
He used that line for emphatic moments in games, like a walk off home run. Apparently a pro golfer used that as an alternative to swearing after missing a big putt and Chuck picked up on it. You are 100% correct on our announcers through the years. We've been blessed as fans to have had some truly great ones. Chuck's in the hall of fame and Jon Miller is certainly on his way as well.

That...and "go to war Ms. Agnes" are forever etched in my head. Chuck and Brooks would be so happy right now.

I couldn't say it better. The AL East standings are a beautiful sight to see. So happy for us Orioles fans everywhere. -

Rodanthe NC is losing oceanfront homes every year, falling victim to the advancing ocean waters. That is all the factual info I have and like Mitch, I am moving on as well. -

Admittedly, I do not know/am not educated nearly enough to fully understand the ramifications and timing of a warming earth. I certainly don't want to be naïve, either. I have grandkids that are just learning to walk and talk and I am concerned about the world they'll be a part of after I'm done on this earth. Having said that, I'm more concerned about issues other than this. -

@TheClimateChanger - why exactly is the data sobering to you? Please help me understand, I'm not being critical. I guess we're all different. There are things in life that are sobering to me - losing my father tragically and instantly to a massive heart attack in 2015. Going through a very rough divorce in 1995. Watching innocent people die in random acts of violence. Those events I find very sobering. I just want to understand why warmer nights are so difficult for you. Truly. -

We reverse roles now. Fronts typically bring you more goods than they do here. The leveling process commences! -

See, I was going to use that strategy for Saturday but I'm thinking it will be too wet to cut in the morning before noon kickoff. And I just told my wife last evening that if I knew nothing else, to look at our yard I'd swear it was about Easter time.
