  1. It has to be. Especially given that precip continuously forms to your east.
  2. Yes sir. I haven't had a single day that seriously threatened 100. We've had some stretches where the weather was very much summer-like. It's a phenomena that happens each year between May and September. And in some summers that weather is relentless, given that it's summer. That has not been the case this year. Nights are warmer than they were years ago. No denying that. But daytime highs have been pedestrian.
  3. Just unreal. I was surprised to see .16" fell here overnight.
  4. This summer just has not been that bad. At least from my perspective and I hate heat.
  5. Good deal - best news of the day. Going to really enjoy the upcoming pattern though wish it included some rainfall.
  6. Holy crap - just reached 86 which is the high for the day so far here.
  7. I'm hoping for some water tonight but actual expectations are very low. Some hint of a shower opportunity with a front around next Tuesday evening but otherwise...
  8. Yep, for some the pattern is going from dry to drier. For the rest, the endless parade of storms looks to be ending.
  9. Just a few short years ago I had 47 days at or above 90. So far this year I'm at 14.
  10. I'm not going to ignore any model posts - I'm just taking them with a huge grain of salt right now. I had people texting/calling me the other day because WGAL was going on and on about a "high impact weather night" or something like that. We ended up getting impacted with variable cloudiness and a slight breeze. Then, the next day I have to go back and try and explain to everyone what happened. Again. It gets tiresome. Sometimes I wish that my weather nerdiness wasn't public knowledge. LOL
  11. It is a beautiful morning. It will be nice later on when I'm watering my dying plants. I don't know a lot about tropical, but I've been reading that despite the toasty ocean waters, other ingredients needed for storm development have been horrid to this point. I guess there's an abundance of sheer that is one of the main culprits.
  12. I stopped looking at models, forecasts, anything related to what might happen weather wise. I had no idea it rained that close to me last evening - my wife and I were out in our backyard for hours working and then enjoying some beverages. I'm not one to complain about forecasts...I think it's a bad look to do so. Having said that, twice in the past week I was "forecast" to get soaking rains. Twice I got less than scraps. I'm losing credibility because people depend on me to let them know what's going to happen and I've looked really stupid multiple times. I am going to be highly skeptical of rain forecasts for some time. I'll believe it when it's in the bucket.
  13. That storm was moving east northeast the past few hours, and now suddenly is moving a bit southeast.
  14. Congrats on your first cruise - I hope you had a great time. My wife and I have been on a "few" and have loved every one. Heading to the southern Caribbean in March 2025.
  15. Yes, .04" from both last week and yesterday/overnight combined.
  16. I should clarify my post: I did receive .02" early yesterday evening. That was in addition to the .02" that I got from the last big rain event late last week. I did not receive anything overnight last night.
  17. That might be the biggest understatement of the year. In the past 5 days, 2 separate systems were forecast to drop 1.5 - 2.5" of rain between them. My grand total from both was .04" I got nada last night.
  18. I was in Mount Joy during the rain and it was very harden to tell.
  19. First wave/round crushed me! .02" in the bucket.
  20. There's a reason why my wife and I are former 76ers season ticket holders. The entire organization is a mess...top down. The NBA as a whole has major issues that are quickly alienating the fan base. Aside from that, the product on the floor is laughable. I can go to my local high school and watch the game played better, at least the technical aspects of it. I'll be watching far more hockey this winter and far less of the Association.
  21. MU is Meh-U for severe: Today will generally be mostly cloudy across most of PA in advance of an approaching warm front, but it’s not until 4-8 PM that showers and storms should arrive. Due to a major lack of instability, I’m still skeptical of the #SevereWeather threat..
  22. Turned out to be a beautiful late-summer day! Dewpoint is down to 58 here and combined with the breeze...it's a great day to be outdoors.
  23. Cell popped right over me out of nowhere. Lasted about 3 minutes.
  24. Harrisburg is about to get crushed - still looks like nothing doing south of the turnpike.
