  1. 68 at work, just reached 70 at home. Going to be a wide disparity in temps today...cool south, warm north.
  2. Definitely virga - sun is still out (through clouds) at home. Cloudy here in Conestoga with rain right on the M/D line on MU's radar which I think removes virga.
  3. MU Weather Center 15m Rain has already reached northern MD, southern NJ, and DE, but it shouldn’t overspread areas north of Route 30 until after 5 PM. Steady, light-to-moderate rain will then continue overnight, with most of southeastern PA receiving at least 0.25-0.50” by midday tomorrow
  4. That 2016 storm - the NAM was showing this "outrageous" stripe of 40" snows along the I81 corridor 48 hours in advance. It nailed that storm. No other model was honing in on that intense stripe of snow, especially that far out.
  5. Last one was 2015-16. January 2016 was a pretty nice storm...
  6. I will be. I'm working late tomorrow night so I have no problem being a night owl tonight.
  7. Much calmer over this way - I expected it to be windier TBH.
  8. MU referred to Monday in his outlook as potentially a big severe day. Not a fan.
  9. You're not wrong. On Christmas we're usually looking forward to our next rainstorm.
  10. I've only once walked outside and have my glasses fog up so far this year...that's about to change.
  11. It's down slightly from their PM map yesterday. Entire eastern part of PA was in bright red then.
  12. I also agree about the rain - I'm stoked. I think most will get at a minimum 2" by Sunday, and some of us at least double that. With a trigger looming plus very high PWATs, there will be some tropical deluges to be sure .
  13. I MIGHT dig through my basement for a sweatshirt if it's in the mid to upper 30s...maybe...
  14. How about that! One thing that might ruin (hmm, why did I go there) this unique opportunity is the timing of the rain - with the slug of moisture out of here early in the morning tomorrow, I wonder if that will allow temps to rise a few extra degrees. Regardless, cool tomorrow followed by very humid conditions the rest of the week with tropical downpours looks likely.
  15. Yeah, MU is thinking showers and storms are a "lock" every day now through Sunday. (rain arriving later today/evening, then showers/storms rest of the week)
  16. And here are Elliott's thoughts - doesn't sound like he thinks getting water will be an issue: https://www.millersville.edu/weathercenter/forecasts/weather-discussion.php
  17. Here's WPC's forecast this morning - it is a slight reduction from their Tuesday PM outlook:
  18. Just wait another 15-20 years and compare notes.
  19. From MU - the aforementioned front has come through already (at least Lanco) (1/2) A backdoor cold front moved through the Lower Susquehanna Valley overnight. Behind the front, moist, easterly flow off the Atlantic has caused skies to turn mostly cloudy. The easterly flow and cloudier conditions will persist over the next three days.. (2/2) As a result, high temps will struggle to exceed the upper 70s this afternoon and mid 70s tomorrow. Easterly wind gusts up to 20 mph this afternoon and 25-30 mph Wednesday will make it feel even cooler outside. Beneficial rain comes Wednesday night - Thursday.
  20. My comment was specific to the weather and I gave no thought to other wet "activities"... Surprised myself that my mind didn't go elsewhere.
  21. Rain often moves in earlier than forecast as well... Shame snow doesn't act the same way. (sometimes it does)
  22. I have not looked at models lately and have been solely relying on local forecasts that I trust as well as the RWS. When they contradict I question. LOL
  23. Kinda interesting - CTP has me with a 0% chance of rain tomorrow and a very wet day on Thursday. Edit: I guess I shouldn't say 0% but they have no mention of rain in my forecast for tomorrow.
