  1. I'll say one final thing - Allar had 114 passing yards in the 1st quarter. He was 10/11 with a horrible drop by Flemming. I must not understand what I'm watching.
  2. Whatever. I'll shut up now. It's obvious that that most in the thread don't like Allar. I guess time will tell who is "right."
  3. Completely disagree. I don't know how you say that but you're entitled to your opinion. Allar has been playing fantastic and is leading this team.
  4. I like him a lot. I still contend our best chance of going far is with #15 behind center.
  5. Fun fact for the guy who eats up fun facts...through 8 games this season, Indiana has done something that Nick Saban never did at Alabama- the Hoosiers have never trailed in a game yet.
  6. Ain't that the truth. Also helps having a more than competent #2 QB.
  7. Well... Penn State's next 2 games are the toughest on paper and likely on the field as well for the rest of the season. Lions will be favored in their final 4 games. Let's assume that they win those final 4 (I won't actually assume that in reality, but I'm playing a game here) - then they need to win 1 of these 2 games to comfortably get in the playoffs at 11-1. 10-2 would put them on the bubble and depend on what everyone else does. It will also come down to "how" PSU wins and loses the final 6 games. For that reason tonight's game is gargantuan. A win gets us to 7-0 with some breathing room next week. A loss makes next week an absolute must have and we all know how that's likely to go. If we were able to see into the future I'd much rather win next week for obvious reasons over tonight but I don't want to go into next week facing a must win. PSU needs to play a perfect to near perfect game tonight and try and get out of Madison with a win. I don't care if it's ugly...we really need to win tonight.
  8. It's up to 65 at the airport down the road and 64 here now.
  9. I'm not going to reach my forecast high today barring a late push - currently it's 61, which is 5 short of the forecast of 66.
  10. On one of our annual weekend trips to see the Steelers years ago...I think it was 2012? We went to the Pitt-Louisville game on Saturday before the Steelers game on Sunday. Talk about a stark contrast in atmosphere...my son and I were in the upper level pretty much by ourselves. I think I remember they announced somewhere around 40,000 but it seemed like far fewer. Even at 40,000 that was over 25,000 short of capacity. Not a great gameday experience. Pitt really would benefit greatly from having a true home field onsite.
  11. Three Rivers was demolished years ago. Pitt did play there for one season (2000) before moving to Heinz Field.
  12. Pitt doesn't have a stadium. They have to schlep across the city to play at the Steelers home. Pitt wants to build on-campus but space is a huge issue. The basketball arena was built on the former site of old Pitt Stadium.
  13. Safely tucked inside the Moderate Drought zone by 1.0945 miles...
  14. Thank you! And to your comment about our current streak being 17 days, that's why I threw up the WPC map for the next 7. Assuming we're dry until this time next week...we'd potentially be just a few days away from unchartered territory.
  15. If someone can find a definitive answer I'd appreciate it - I've been searching climo records trying to determine what is the longest streak of days without rainfall in Lancaster. I found one website that said it's 29 days but I don't know that i trust the source. Having said that...this is starting to feel unprecedented:
  16. 72 here as well which is the coolest noon temp of the week. Also, this: (Courtesy MU) This is what a Pacific Jet Extension looks like, and ensemble models agree on its occurrence in early #November. As if it wasn't warm enough already, PJEs often flood the U.S. with mild, Pacific air, and I expect this case to be no exception! The warm-biased pattern continues..
  17. Personally, I think that posts that have any hint or attachment to political views should probably be saved for OT and not shared in our thread. It's an emotionally charged period of time and I'd hate to see our group come unglued as there are wildly different viewpoints.
  18. Right you are. At home, I only managed a 51 yesterday morning, today I got down to 44.
  19. Potential for a near record warm Halloween and no sustained fall weather until possibly the 2nd week of November: https://www.millersville.edu/weathercenter/forecasts/weather-discussion.php
  20. At least in Maytown the temp has leveled off, even dropped a bit over the past hour: https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KPAMARIE28?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAAR1aUZn05v6EL1SCu83D6YWAz4KB0xPA7zBHapk7ZxcoZfWMxfMgsX9YEUY_aem_AatgGdtB3HDmy_lQiEQW3p1bDKQzlUbvSccn8VpHsQ_8zcjQ2DxBPNU21ROdUrVrozfMvldDScho9lY6LgyGK0dL
