After weeks of dry weather, the rainier pattern is coming in like a Lion. Chief reason why mowing is back on track for this guy.

Lots of clouds and 84 approaching noon - close enough to 90 at this time of the day to get there, but I'm wondering if there will be enough sun to pull it off.

Yep, I'm leaning more on hitting 90 today than not. Tomorrow is a toss up. Sunday is almost assuredly a no. Still going to feel quite uncomfortable though with the humidity. Hoping you get more rain today than yesterday.

Maybe - though I would not rule out low 90s today depending on the amount of sun I get. Debris has burned off, temp is now 70 and the spike is on...

Wife reports that the faucet was opened wide at home - very heavy rain now.

Just how "not hot" this summer was: @MUweather Today will mark the 5th-straight 90-degree day at @millersvilleu and for most of the Lower Susquehanna Valley. This will end up being the longest and most extreme #heatwave of 2023. In fact, there were only 4 days with highs at or in excess of 90°F in June and August combined!

That...makes perfect sense. And I chuckled reading it - the installation story for my most recent station is very long and mostly boring to anyone other than me, but let's just say that me and DW had an ongoing "discussion" about the exact location of the station. My big contention was that it would be isolated from any ornamental decorations, awnings, etc. She had her own thoughts but I'm quite proud to say that my station is indeed isolated... and I'm still married.

4 consecutive mornings starting off at 72 here. Also, in the midst of a mostly clear sky with just a few random high clouds, there was a very large CU tower off to my NE. It looked especially odd so early in the morning and also there was nothing else anywhere in the sky. Pretty cool to see.

Amount of cloudiness will decide our fate me thinks.

At any rate...high today was 95, matching yesterday. Tomorrow will be day #20 to reach the 90s.

I'll try once again - the last several of these that I posted were pretty big fails. Has to be right this time...

No doubt - but those aren't indicative of all areas. I was forecast to reach the upper 90s the past 2 days and have not done so. In fact, the worst of the heatwave was to be the past 2 days, but Monday was the worst. My comment/question was really intended to be more fun than critical. Maybe I'm looking for positives to help stay cool.
